this could be the cavs roster next year if they draft right and release hollins joey graham
picks
1 derrick williams
8 Jonas Valanciunas ( if he falls this far)
31 josh selby
54 Bojan bogdanovic( if he falls)
(would still have 2 over 15 dont know who to release but either way they could make a decent improvement next year and win well over 30 games)

willie wise fanParticipanti was even thinking that they could try to trade the 8th pick for oj mayo who memphis already tried to trade and isnt getting much playing time

apb540ParticipantI really hope that the Cavs get Harrison Barnes (if he declares) and Brandon Knight. These have been two of my favorite prospects all year and they would both fill holes for the cavs. Barnes can step in right away and take over the scoring load like Durant did and Knight can develop into their PG of the future behind B-Diddy’s fat ass. Also, Knight is big enough that the Cavs can have him and another guard out their on the court at the same time like the Sixers do with Jrue Holiday and Lou Will.
A core of Hickson, Knight, and Barnes would be a solid start for a franchise who is pretty fucked right now.

HeroescantdieParticipantThe cavs fans wants harrison barnes.. They could draft him at number 1, but if they don’t win the lottery, maybe they could get dwill with the 2nd or 3nd pick, probably barnes or irving are gone by that, then they would add the best available pg, brandon knight. But if they end up with the 1st pick, i think they would choose barnes or irving..

willie wise fanParticipantyeah that would be good but i would rather have williams than barnes but barnes is great to but brandon knight would be a good idea but other choices there could be kemba walker or jonas

jjonzParticipantjust gave u 2 more points Anyway i think if they could flip BDub 4 daft picks. Can Session be that set up type of PG. I think with the $$$ this team has & the assests (15 Mill trade exemp/Exp in June & AJam 15Mill $$ coming off the books) they could get more picks & make a run & the 8th seed next year.

apb540ParticipantKemba Walker would also be a pretty cool fit there since they need someone to score the dam ball. They are rather screwed financially thou since Baron, Varejao, Gibson, and Sessions all have 3+ years and Jamison still has 2 left.

RickyRubio9ParticipantNo way they use both picks on Bigs…
Derrick Williams & Harrison Barnes are the ideal picks..Josh Selby slipping that far? Doubt it, but those three would be an amazing draft.
I kind of like the trading for OJ Mayo idea..

JoeWolf1Winning well over 30 games is a bit of a stretch, very few rookies have a major impact on their team’s record and Cleveland is currently sitting at 14 wins. Rebuilding is a pretty slow process most of the time and it’s gonna take a lot more than Derrick Williams, Jonas Valanciuous, and Josh Selby (no where near ready to play in the NBA) to make the horrible Cavs jump 20 wins in one year.
Acquiring a young nucleus is one thing, but letting them have time to mesh and adding the right pieces around them is what will drastically improve a team. Just look at John Wall, Andre Blatche and Javalee Mcgee in Washington, Tyreke Evans, DeMarcus Cousins, and company in Sacramento, and the Love, Beasley, Darko squad in Minnesota. Just beacuse you have young talent doesn’t mean you’re going to win right away….but played right, down the line with good free agents and supporting veterans… sure.

sheltwon3ParticipantI like the Brandon Knight and Barnes pick ups because I think Barnes is NBA ready right now. Knight can play behind Davis and learn from him. Sesssion can get moved for depth. It seems Cavs are leaning toward playing Davis more at the point anyway. Hickson should continue to improve and they have Samuels behind him.Varejao should be healthy. Cavs could possibly win 35 to 38 games next year if everything fall into place. Barnes may not come out so then that would mean Cavs will have to look at another sf or sg.
Jamison could get traded as well since he is in the end of his contract. I also think if Cleveland gets a 2 guard, Parker will not get resigned.
