I kind of feel sorry for the Cavs for loosing Lebron and not getting a thing in return consequently just being horrible this year. But I think their is a light at the end of the tunner for you loyal Cavs fans!!!

I would like to see the Cavs select Derrick Williams or Harrison Barnes with first lottery pick and then with their second Kemba Walker.

Reasons why: Both Barnes and Williams are talented players who have a great work ethic and high character playes. One of these two players would be a good player that can start the Cavs offense on the right track. Williams is known for always rising above the opposition and I think that if plays the 3 at the next level then he could be quite a player and very hard to stop. Barnes is the same way just not as much of a scorer as Wlliams is but just as athletic if not more and just as hard of a work ethic. Either one of these picks would be a great start for the Cavs.

Kemba Walker is small PG that needs to ball in his hands in order to be good but is also a good passer and has a great will power. The thing that I like about him the most is that he comes from a troubled Uconn team. They really struggled last year from selfish players like Jerome Dyson. But once they left Kemba and Oriaki were the only ones left. Kemba was a sophomore and still learning, but the obvious leader of the team heading forward. Oriaki was just a freshman and a defensive presence but not much of an offensive game. Uconn went and got two high school players that could develop well but basically this team was relying on a 6’0 ball dominant PG that was still learning himself. No one expected this big of a turn around from Uconn this year especially after their horrendous downhill slide last year. But Kemba proved all the critics wrong and led his team to the top. Kudos to Kemba. Cleveland was left in kind of the same situation this offseason. Lebron left, leaving the Cavs in dissaray and no one expected them to do well, but hoped the best for this poor team.

Kemba would be a great help for them because of his experience of bringing Uconn back to a presence this year.

I really think that by 2012 this could be their lineup and great things would be seen:

Kemba Walker/Sessions (Baron would probably retire by 2012)

    Austin Rivers/Gibson/Anthony Parker

Derrick Williams or Harrison Barnes/Joey Graham/Eyenga

    Hickson/Samardo Samuels/Harangody

    Benson/Varejao

That lineup would be very good and I know Cavs fans would be excited again, and bright things would be in store.

Would you guys agree? I see a bright future for the Cavs with this lineup. Don’t expect the Cavs to be struggling for long. I could see them as a playoff team come Rivers’ rookie season!!!

(I do not usually make Cavs threads but I decided to let the Cavs fans know of the bight light  I see very soon if the Cavs pick Barnes or Williams as well as Kemba in this upcoming draft.)

i still personally think irving is the best player in this draft and although barnes n williams are better then jones jones is still gonna be a nice nba player and i think irving is gonna be better than anyone in this draft theres your starting pg and sf for years to come

The Cavs actually signed and trade Lebron, so they actually got two first round picks and two second round picks from the Heat. I think that’s a pretty good deal rather than getting nothing.

All picks would be solid choices although I could see Kemba maybe going before the pick from the Clippers comes up. As said above a lot depends on whether the Cavs get a shot at Irving or not as said above. To me their biggest needs are SG and SF as LeBron needs to be somehow replaced and Parker is pushing 36 years old and may well look to get a vet’s contract with a contender next season. Williams would be a nice fit at SF giving the Cavs good size there and having the frontcourt to provide an inside presence. For an SG then Barnes could be an option if he declares or you are looking at combo guards such as Alex Burks or even Brandon Knight who could be drafted and play either role whilst he settles into the team.

I like the Irving and Jones thing better who knows maybe Perry turns out to be the future like he was suppose to be at the begging of the season and you get Kyrie

Sucks that Barnes isn’t available this year. On the other hand, I get to see Barnes vs Gilchrist sooner rather than later, albeit in college. Cleveland almost has to bite on Perry Jones with their second pick to fill that need at SF now.

i really still don’t believe there is any chances Perry will be able at #8..he is still in the 4-7 range with out any tournament games, good measurements and nice workouts could easily back him in top3
