SiggyParticipantEh, he’s very similar to Gee. He’s strong and athletic, not a whole lot of skill. Shot shows more promise than Gee’s, but I think he’ll be more of an athlete/defender.

CavFanPRParticipantI don’t know much about him but he’s getting praised as a lockdown perimeter defender. From what I’ve read, he’s a sleeper. I think he can contribute from day 1 as a 3 & D.
What do you guys think of him?

delfamParticipantWill Karasev start at the 3?

CavFanPRParticipantHe isn’t strong enough for the 3. I think the cavs fill that position in free agency.

MikezParticipantI think it between him and Bennett, I think the Cavs starting lineup will be
PG Kyire
SG Dion
SF/PF Bennett
PF Tristian

wrectorParticipantChris Grant has deemed Bennet a PF, but his versatility will allow him to play different roles (SF). Mike Brown said that Tristan and Anthony will have to battle for starting minutes. It does sound like Karasev will be starting at the 3, but its really guess work until everyone gets in playing shape (cough Bennett cough) and training camp starts so Mike can assess who’s a starter and who’s not.

joecheck88ParticipantI honestly don’t know why everyone is encamped with Tristan Thompson. He is a good player but he isn’t a starter. Anthony Bennett should be the starting 4. His size isn’t a problem against most 4s of today. He is a mismatch offensively too. If Cleveland is smart, he starts and plays 30+ min a game. He could be a 15 & 8 guy this year. You can bring TT in and slide Bennett to the 3 for spurts lie the jazz have with Milsap at times but just not for too long.

wrectorParticipantImproved FT%, FG%, PPG, RPG, APG, SPG and decreased TO rate, Per36 to account for increased minutes in his 2nd year. It typically takes longer for big men to develop and all you can ask for is improvement. Cleveland loves Tristan because he’s a high energy player like AV, which is why they love him too.

joecheck88ParticipantI’m with you but he seems like a bench big to me. 20-25 minutes a game to me. Bennett is a guy that’s going to free up Irving on a pick and roll.

delfamParticipantagree. TT sucks offensively, he has no right hand and can’t make jump shots or free throws. His potential is limited compared to Bennett.
