Draft Picks are obviously the way to go.Its funny because New York traded rights to two of their draft picks and Jordan Hill to Houston to clear Cap Space and aquire Chris Bosh.

Yet Chris Bosh is interested in a sign and trade going to Houston because all you have to do is match contracts. And Bosh is not an idiot why would he go with New York they have no Picks no supporting cast and no identity.

New York fans are gonna hate him.Or they are gonna hate Lebron.Or there gonna hate Dantoni. But it’s Donnie Walsh’s fault and David Aldridge and TNT’s and NBA.coms and all there own fault because these idiotic people keep believing the Hype TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!

    Cap Space Cr-ap Space…

      Bad investment on your website??

      http://www.nbadraft.net/2010draftnotes.html

Clearly states that Houston has the option to “switch” draft picks with New York so yes they do have a draft pick but its gonna be a bottom pick.

Houston also owns New Yorks 2012 pick.

Yeah he goes to Houston and Yao will get hurt again which will kill the season.
If Yao is healthy they’ll have 3 soft players in Kmart, Bosh, Yao.
All these are rumors whether its Bosh to Houston or Miami.
Same goes for Lebron to NJ, NY,Chi, Miami.
If these guys want to win a title they’ll leave their teams if they want more money they’ll resign.

BTW since when did Bosh become the next Tim Duncan?
    He doesn’t even block shots.

They traded away good pieces the last 2 years to set up for Lebron Bosh and Wade and arent getting Lebron Bosh or Wade thats how they messed up lol.

Unless you think that Jordan Hill wasnt a good piece.Utah currently owns there draft pick for this year. Its the same song we hear sung by all NY teams.Just because the Yankees have success doesnt mean any other NY franchise will. The Yankees have no salary cap they can just go out and buy players.Knicks cant do that sure they can go over the Cap but theres always a limit. They are gonna overpay players to play in New York and be a dismill team with bad chemistry.

I didn’t mention u saying Bosh is the next Duncan but everyone talks about him like he’s so great he hasn’t gotten out of the 1st round in 7 years. When Tmac and KG did that it was all we heard and they were much better in their prime.

Yeah the GM messed up by not drafting a Pg like Jennings, Collison instead he took Hill.
If he signs to 2 big name free agents its worth it trading Hill who is a 6th man really anyway.
Does swapping pick in 2011 and losing a 2012 pick mean that much to you.
Do you even know who will be available in the draft next year and how good or bad the Knicks will be its all speculation.
They won 32 games with a weak roster 2 years ago can do a lot better with some free agent signings even if its not Lebron and Bosh.

Good pieces? Really? Noone…I REPEAT NOONE thought

Quentin Richardson, Jamal Crawford, Zach Randolph were good pieces. If you say otherwise- Your Lying.

The main reason they were dealt was because the Knicks wanted to move cap space ans START OVER period. You can hate all you want but NY is NY. The Knicks had the worst GM’s from 2000 to 2009 and they gave up draft picks and traded pieces for terrible, overpaid players. You can say what you want, The Knicks might not get LeBron but they will get someone. The Knicks have all this cap space, they can pretty much attack the FA Class anyway they want.

You need to stop hating and realize that. They moved contracts to START OVER.

What 2 pieces did they trade away, Jordan Hill was nothing special he got some rebs for the Rockets who had no size he didn’t really impress me. If he turns into a 20/10 guy I’ll have to eat my words and the Knicks will look stupid.
The pick Utah has is from Phoenix from the Marbury trade that Isiah made.
The Rockets won 1 round in the playoffs since Olajuwon left thats nothing special considering they had Tmac and Yao.
You won’t be beating the Lakers or the Thunder next year anyway.
Okay chakras guess ur smarter than Walsh now since you know it all
Your just going by the rumors you see on the web.
If and when the Knicks strike out like you predict we’ll talk.
Also guess only 3 big names in free agency or did you forget about it being the best free agent class ever.

K im gonna stop hating but the reason I really think they messed up is because they always rebuild through the Free Agency. That is not what your suppose to do.You are suppose to rebuild through the Draft.END OF STORY.They are just repeating the same cycle they always repeat.

Honestly I WOULD LOVE TO SEE NY GET A DYANSTY LEVEL POWER HOUSE FRANCHISE because everyone loves playing in MSG and it would make for amazing basketball.Kobe against Lebron Live at MSG.It just aint gonna happen thou.

If they set themeselves up to do it through the draft maybe this year they wouldve got a top 5 pick developed Jordan Hill into a good defensive piece and got another Top 5 pick next year perhaps they would have a good franchise. But they dont do that for some stupid reason they always go through free agency,

i see both sides. Yes they needed to start over. But since when is starting over mean getting rid of your draft picks? I think HIll will still develop and if they dont hit the jackpot this summer, those future picks can come back to haunt them just like the one they are losing this year to utah. I dont like Dantoni. He doesnt preach defense no matter what people try and say. I’ve seen him for years let guys get by with blown defensive assignements. Even Nate Robinson said something about how when he got to boston he had to adjust to defense being a primary point of emphasis. His team was small and struggling and he still couldnt find room for Jordan Hill. Then Mike took a cheap shot at jordan and said he has no problem playing rookies if they are any good. Hill then went and made a solid showing in houston getting rebounds and blocking shots and showing signs of having a promising future.

NY will be laughing and saying cheers if they get 2 superstars this summer. But just 1 superstar wont be worth the sacrificed seasons, potentially losing david lee and givining up draft picks unless that superstar is lebron.

    OMG WHY DO STATS MATTER

Joe Johnson is a choker…Carlos Boozer has injury problems…Rudy Gay is a good player I think…Ray Allen is a key piece to a potential champion team…Salmons is another key piece…Stoudimire is a great player who will wanna play with a winner but could end up here…WHO ELSE IS ON UR LIST

You dont need Jordan Hill to be a 20/10 guy to realize hes a good high intensity, rebounding banger.Hes physical and will develop into that solid defensive starter every team needs. You don’t need every player on your team to be an Allstar but thats what the Knicks always try to do.

the thing that is interesting, is that there are i believe 8 teams that can afford a max contract (NY, NJ, LAC, CHI, MIA, SAC, MIN, WSH) But there are only like 5-7 guys worth a max(Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Johnson, Amare, Boozer?). That mean there are more teams with cap space then max players and thats not including the possibility of guys resigning with their own teams. Some fans are gonna be real upset this offseason.

Im pretty confident wade stays in miami and he will pull one of those pf’s to come play with him. Chicago will pull hard for a pf. NY would probably have to sign lebron and then hope he convinces someone to come with him. Or Maybe they get Joe Johnson and one of the pf’s which would be good as well.

The Knicks will land Lebron, Parker in a trade, keep Lee, and MLE Haywood. My up-to-date prediction.

Yes they are supposed to rebuild through the draft.
Where do you think Gallo, Douglas, Chandler, Lee, Nate Robinson came from?
Hill a physicial player I don’t see it.
Grabbing a couple rebs against 2nd stringers means very lil we’ll see what happens next year.
This years draft pick was traded away in 2004 so they had no control over that.

Mkadoza I would sign up for that in a second.
