Can the Thunder win 45 game's Next Year? With the right draft?

Ok First off Hurry up and sign Yiannis Bouroussis that would be the first move. Ok lets get too the draft now. Who does the Thunder take at 3? Brandon Jennings yes Brandon Jennings and then do what ever it take's to get Amar'e Stoudemire and sign him too a long term deal. Boom the Thunder is a playoff team. The Thunder would score 108 ppg run and gun SPEED KILLS.

C Amare Stoudemire | Yiannis Bouroussis
PF Jeff Green| D.J. White
SF Kevin Durant| Thabo Sefolosha
SG Russell Westbrook| Kyle Weaver
PG Brandon Jennings | Shaun Livingston

How in the world.

would the Suns take that deal? that's being greedy. they'd want that 3rd pick and why would you draft Jennings. OKC hasn't even mentioned him. Now if they pulled Amare using their number 3 pick and 25th then they have a chance to do some good things, but even 45 is asking alot from that team to become that good that quick. it'd be quite a surprise, but OKC wouldn't think of trading for Amare. I would rather see them build up the right way instead of trading for a star when they have about 3 potential ones as well as their 3rd pick. At best, I see them winning 35 games.

why?

why would phoenix ever do that trade?

and i'm not sure brandon jennings is what they need... they already have enough offensive players who like the ball in westbrook and durant... what they really need is a good bigman who rebounds and plays defense (thabeet?)... thabeet would be a great fit for them, because they don't need him to score... just protect the rim and rebound (which is something he is raw at and will become better at)...

i'm also not sure if amare is what they need... they will have enough offensive ability with westbrook, durant, and green... plus, amare is not a good rebounder or defender (even though he could be if he wanted)... which they need...

my bad...

oh ya, i forgot about the wins thing... i agree with ricky... i see them winning, at best, somewhere around 30 - 35 games next year... the west is still going to be competitive...

What they need is

MEEEEEEEE! :D haha just kidding. They need to get Thabeet for some size and rebounding and having that defensive presence downlow. Then Kristic wouldn't be forced to start and can give you some solid minutes off the bench. If they do that, then it's better then having a complaining and ball dominant player like Amare. He wants to be the Franchise while everyone knows Durant is the face of their franchise. Just wait OKCFan. Patience. It's the West and it's tough, but in time they will be able to compete and be an actual contender if they stay on track and don't try to push for something dumb.
I wouldn't trade Russell, Green, or Durant. Even if it meant losing a chance on Blake Griffin. They're just one scorer away from it if Thabeet is drafted and that scorer could be Green or Westbrook. If Westbrook becomes more efficient and more of an outside threat. Scary...at least in the future.

We are rank 6 in RPG. and

We are rank 6 in RPG. and then we are 5- 48 when the other team scores 100+ thats mean we have no off at all besides KD O ya about the whole Amare Stoudemire thing he is gone after this season so the suns would give him up

No....

unless the Suns are ready to not compete anymore for a while they will give him up, but if they want one more shot then they'll keep him. That doesn't mean you have no offense, it means you have HORRIBLE Defense. Defense wins Championships. Ask KG...-.-"
You are trying to skip it all. The Blazers were just like the Thunder except they waited and didn't go for a homerun trade. You are basically renting Amare for a year...who knows if he wants to resign.

EITHER WAY

Suns wouldn't take that trade unless you are giving them the 3rd pick.

your team is going to become

your team is going to become much better on offense... all your star players are very young... they are going to develop and become much better... plus, that is a lot of games to allow 100+ points, so maybe defense is your problem... i bet most teams aren't great when they allow 100+ points...

Just give them water,

Just give them water, sunlight, and a little bit of love, and they will blossom into a contender.

No point to wasting money on a one year player like amare, give them players that will grow and peak with their core.

I'm a Bulls fan and their

I'm a Bulls fan and their best bet is to trade for Bosh or Amare. They have the right pieces!

@fastdan

yeah, i think that's what the thunder needs to do. just let their players grow together and they'll have a good solid team. the amar'e trade doesn't make sense, he might just get in the way of durant's development. westbrook played very well as a point guard, why get jennings with the 3rd pick? you should be looking at getting thabeet, hill or harden (though i think sefolosha and weaver could be solid) with the 3rd pick. thunder could win 30-40 games this coming season if they don't screw up the chemistry.

i completely agree with what

i completely agree with what rvirsal said...

i went to WSU where weaver played... his two knocks coming out of college where that he wasn't a good shooter and didn't force the issue on offense enough... however, he seemed to find his shooting touch last year and his habit of not forcing the issue on offense is perfect for a fourth option...

he is a good, not great, athlete who is long for a sg... he plays good to great defense and is a good passer... he is a perfect fit for what they need... the only knock is that he isn't a great talent... he is simply a great fit...

First off, who the hell is

First off, who the hell is Yiannis Bouroussis? Is he really the answer to OKC's inside needs? I agree with everyone else. No way is Amare going there. The Suns would demand one of their young stars, and Amare could stunt their development.

OK let me give you a playoff team

First, Cut Earl Wason, Chucky Atkins, and Damian Wilkins, that frees up about $9.3 million in cap space, bringing their cap room from $15.97 million to $28.51 million. Then, sign PF Chris Anderson (shotblocker), SF Matt Barnes ( 3pt shooter, defender and depth), SG Von Wafer (3pt shooter and depth), PG Ronald Murry (consistant scorer), and C Radoslav Nesterovic (great tall, low-post scorer and veteran), bringing their cap room to $16.303 million. After that, in the draft, he Thunder could draft James Harden with their third pick (athletic, 3pt shooter, can get to he FT line consistantly) then trade thir 25th pick to a team for their 1st round pick next year, then the Thunder would have 3 1st round pick next year.

2010-2011 Oklahoma City Thunder- 14 man roster

PG: Russell Westbrook/Ronald Curry/Shaun Livingston/Kyle Weaver
SG: James Harden/ Von Wafer/ Thabo Sefalosha/Kyle Weaver
SF: Kevin Durant/ Mat Barnes/ Jeff Green
PF: Jeff Green/ Chris Anderson/ Nick Collison
C: Nenad Kristic/ Radoslav Nesterovic
