Can Isiah bring pro level talent to FIU?
I think he will do ok there. As far as NBA level players, maybe one here and there. Maybe a one and done PG or a player like Seth Curry who will use it as a stepping stone. He will be ok. Remember, he took the Pacers to the playoffs 2 years when he was there.
He will run is son as he has a problem. The dude overdoses on pills and blames it on his 17 yr old daughter are you serious. I cant believe somebody gave him a job
Zeke will do aight... who cares about his personal life... anything that a recruit aspires to do he done it, at its highest levels.... that comin from someone who can relate to u means alot.... he'll get kids there..in miami? yessir
I agree, I think he will surprise some people with his ability to recruit. He has a nba pedigree! Not only that he was one of the top 50 players of all time & with his nba contacts & connections he will be able to get kids to attend the college.
The College game is more about talent and the coach has more say so over who will play. Issaih will do well. He will find hidden gems and a lot of players still would want to be coached by him. The Knicks had bigger problems than Issaih. They had issues before he got there but he did help make it worse. He did well in Indiana though and I think if Zeke gets his players, this team will be succesful. I feel confident he will get his players.
The situation with his daughter speaks to his character. Why would anyone assume he is a good coach. There are plenty of guys that were great players and can't coach a lick. I agree he will get more talent at FIU then they have had but I don't think he will be there very long
I guess all that can be said is we will see. I am not a big Issaih fan but I have to admit he is very good and the things he does well. Also there are a lot of factors that went into his failures than just him. As far as his charactor, are you serious? A lot of the coached in the NCAA had issues and left one school for the next. He will not be along with the charactor issues. Everyone knows the NCAA is corrupt. I would like to believe since he can spot some diamonds in the rough and his name alone, will help get him recruits that he may not have to deal with violations. I could see it maybe coming up eventually though but the thing is he is not the first and won't be that last.
I dont know...I think hes in the right area (Florida) to find recruits. I think by his name and status in NBA history, he may get a PG to take a chance with him.
I think if he gets a couple of 4 years guys....he could make them a NCAA tourney team

I know he didn't really handle the knicks thing well, but I think Sun Belt Basketball is something he can handle. What do you guys think he can do with FIU ball, which was really a non factor in its history until now. I grew up in Miami, and while Im not neccessarily an FIU fan, its nice to see the program working hard to grow. They now have D1 football, which in its first couple years is already a competitor for the sun belt title. I think they have a great chance because they are the second school in Miami, which is rich with athletes. Wheras kids in big cities like Philly and New York and the Baltimore area have alot of schools right there, Miami really has only UM and now the emerging FIU. What do you guys predict Thomas can do in the next few years?
Also, I read he is giving up his first years salary, which appears to be an indicator that he really intends to work hard and stay there for a while.
