The Jazz are currently fighting for the 8th seed in the West. Would they consider moving Gordon Hayward? Hayward can opt out of his contract after next season, if the Jazz move him they would put themselves in a better lottery spot while gaing valuable assets.

As a Celtics fan I would love to make a deal. Olynk would be great to mix in with Favors and Gobert, he would really be able to stretch the floor. Boston has nice assets Bradley, RJ Hunter, James Young draft picks to name a few. I would also really like to get Withey too. What would it take to get the both of them? Would the Jazz consider moving him? Anthing on the Celtics roster tempt Jazz fans?

You could offer Olynyk, Hunter, Young and Bradleu and I’d tell you to jog on. Hunter and Young have done nothing if worth and neither have shown anything to think they’ll be more than role players at peak, the Jazz already have quality bigs and would be stupid to trade their best player for a guy who’d be coming off the bench for them in Olynyk and Bradley would just continue the jam the Jazz have at the guard and would take away minutes from Exum and Burks next year, who the Jazz want to develop.

I hear yeah. Didn’t know what Jazz fans thought of Hayward. I feel like Hayward will end up opting out after next season, him and Coach Brad Stevens are bound to connect. Bradley is on a really nice contract and is having a really good season, he has got better every year and is one of the best on ball defenders in the league. Bradley’s not a bad start, he’s on the first year of a really nice 4 year 32 million deal. As a Jazz fan don’t let Hayward walk away after next year for nothing! Celtics have lots of picks to offer

As a Thunder fan who doesn’t like Enes Kanter I would love to see him and a few picks be shipped back to Utah for Hayward. But then again this only works in 2k I believe.

What you are really trying to say is that you are a kiwi and you want to see more of our kiwi Steven Adams play.

I’m a Jazz fan….and if you think they’re going to move a player like Hayward for lottery picks then you know nothing about basketball culture in Utah.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed…but Utah marches to a slightly different beat than most NBA teams. Hayward is a guy that fans can relate to. They’d sooner let a more talented, brash player leave for nothing (Enes Kanter), than let a high character, caucasion guy leave for a mountain of picks. Theyre a community team…who are well aware that their entire fanbase is mormon.

They still believe loyalty exists in the NBA. Quinn Snyder will be there for another 10 years unless something drastic happens.

Its also why they also love guys like Favors, Exum etc. Super nice guys with no risk of controversy.

I also hate to say it….but race matters in Utah. You don’t need to be white to play there….but you’ll never be welcome if you exhibit strong ‘urban’ traits. In other words…whatever JR Smith is…..they don’t want it.

Lol.  I love this, "In other words…whatever JR Smith is".  The line itself is great, but trying to imagine JR Smith playing in Utah, in front of the Jazz fans is just priceless.

Really that’s crazy it’s 2016! Maybe that’s why Hayward may want to leave, I would think he’s a little more open minded.

Why do you have this idea in your head that he wants to leave? When has he ever said anything that would make you think that

I think he will leave because it’s a unique situation. Hayward can opt out of his contract in his prime and go play for his college coach. Stevens was the first person that ever told Hayward he could become a pro. They went to the National Championship game together. Not many guys get that opprtunity. Is it really that far fetched? He’s definately going to opt out so he can get this new money and he’s free to sign with whoever he wants

He can get much more money staying in Utah and is a bonafide star there I think you are deluded if you thinks its a definite that he leaves.

As a Jazz fan I’ll tell you anyone on the team is tradeable for the right price. We don’t have a legit superstar that is completely safe. If Hayward were to be traded Boston is a team that would have the assets to get it done. I don’t buy into the silliness that Jazz fans value Hayward to the point were they wouldn’t trade him for a deal that clearly makes us better in the future.

The deal would need to be massively 1-sided…which isnt happening….

The Jazz rarely trade guys that are happy to be in Utah…cos odds are the replacement won’t be as thrilled to be there.

I agree we clearly have to win the trade. I was only saying lets not act like any of our players are untradeable. We are a low end playoff team not a serious contender.

It would be a shame to lose him for nothing like Milsap, Jefferon and Carroll.

Utah didn’t lose them, they decided to let them go. Favors/Kanter were the future, so Mils/Jefferson weren’t going to be there. I know Jazz fans wanted to keep Mils, but why would he stay? As for Carroll, he wasn’t the player he became in Atlanta.
