Call Me Crazy: The Perfect Player For LA to pick up

Doesn't it make sense Stephen Curry is a perfect fit for the Lakers? The Warriors could finally make a Monta-Curry choice and the Lakers get some youth.

I don't think Phil would move

I don't think Phil would move Fisher to the bench, other than Kobe Fisher is kind of the leader of that team. Also what would the Lakers trade, 1st round pick, Ebanks and Caracter?

Would be an ideal fit but not

Would be an ideal fit but not for Bynum AND Odom. Maybe throw in Artest for Odom and its more realistic

i dont think lakers should

i dont think lakers should give bynum and odom, one or the other. Odom is more valuable then curry right now although i do like the fact thelakers would be clearing up tons of cap space in this move with 4 expiring deals coming back and only curry around for the long haul.

Man!

I am a big fan of Stephen Curry and all, but that trade is cuckoo bananas. You trade Odom or Bynum at your own peril, but both of them? There length is what makes the Lakers competitive! Not to mention, while you get a lot of big role players, these are a bunch of guys who have had a tough time making Golden State competitive! The best prospect other than Curry, Brandan Wright, gets hurt and has more injury concern in my mind than Andrew Bynum. Sorry, Knicksboy, but I think you are being serious, and this trade would move the Lakers WAY back rather than anywhere forward.

the reason the Lakers are so

the reason the Lakers are so good is there length, by doing this trade they'd just be a normal sized team and teams like Spurs and Dallas could have a chance to beat them.

steep

The Lakers would not want to give up 2 of their 3 bigs and the Warriors wouldn't want to give up a potential All-Star and franchise-type player for long contracts. Curry would be a perfect fit in LA thou

They should really push to

They should really push to acquire Kirk Hinrich. He is one of the best defensive point guards in the NBA, is a superior playmaker compared to Fisher while being just as good of a shooter. He doesn't have to score to be effective and would certainly be a defensive upgrade over Blake and Fisher while not sacrificing anything in other categories.

YOU ARE CRAZY... are you

YOU ARE CRAZY... are you happy. this trade makes no sense at all. Lamar odom is the only player on the lakers other than kobe that is willing to take shots. Pau is an exeptional playr but cannot take over a game. I belive they would give up two firsts, bynum, and maybe ebanks for curry gardzuric( no clue how to spell) and wright

First off, if the Lakers got

First off, if the Lakers got Curry, Fisher would hit the bench gladly.

Second, you can take Odom out then, the fact is the Lakers could use a little shakeup. Curry would be a perfect fit for the Lakers because he can run the point guard position, he can shoot the basketball and he doesn't have many miles on the legs. I laughed at the "Odom is the only guy other then Kobe who wants the ball", Oh, Curry wouldn't want the basketball? Come on now.

The Lakers doesn't need to

The Lakers doesn't need to make drastic change such as acquiring another All-Star or potential All-Star type player.

I don't know if they could pull it off or have the pieces to make the trade, but I really think Tracy McGrady is the perfect piece for this team to add. He is the perfect PG for a triangle offense much like Ron Harper/Scottie Pippen ran that offense.

Not everyone on a good

Not everyone on a good defense team plays good defense and vice versa. Curry doesn't need to be a great defender. Fisher isn't. On Boston, Ray Allen isn't. On San Antonio, Parker isn't. You can cover up weak defenders.

Grant Hill is interesting, but he's a older player on a team that has too much milage on them.

Tracy McGrady? Nah, I don't trust T-Mac like that. I think they need a younger guy they can bring in. McGrady isn't old, but if LA is thinking Curry or T-Mac, I'd go Curry.

Ray Allen not a good

Ray Allen not a good defender? He was the one defending Kobe in the Finals last season.

Derek Fisher is a superb off-ball defender (the charges he takes). And he isn't too shabby with his on-ball defense eiter. Stephen Curry is way below these guys in terms of defense.

No. Once we lose the legth

No. Once we lose the legth advantage we are very beatable. Utah would be able to beat us without Odom and Bynum

Gadzurice sucks and Vlad is bascially a shooting that is horrible at defense. We are left with Gasol down low and although very skilled he boarders on the soft side

On top of all that the Lakers dont need a drastic change

Ray Allen is not a good

Ray Allen is not a good defender. Were not even arguing that. He was NEVER a good defender. He was average at best his whole career.

Your going off of one series against a man who's play upward of 300 games up to that point. Come on now.

Well if you think Ray Allen

Well if you think Ray Allen isn't a good defender i don't know what is a good defender, did you actually watch the Finals? and watch Ray Allen playing D? He doesn't have the reputation due to his Seattle days, but since his coming to Boston he has turned into a very good defender.

Ray Allen is a good team

Ray Allen is a good team defender and has moments of good defense but one on one he is average at best. there are alot of times when his man just blows by him with ease. It was the same when he was younger as well

Ray Allen is a very good

Ray Allen is a very good defender, but it might also depend on who he is defending, when he defends the likes of Kobe or Wade, he does a very good job, but when he defends people who don't command as much respect, he kinda of fades defensively. But still a very good defender, just depends on who.

ray is solid defensively.

ray is solid defensively. Maybe slightly above average. But the celtics play great team defense and he was never known for defense before going there.
