eurethra franklinParticipantIs this the best contract of all time? 7 more years for only 50-something Mill. What a deal. The best coach in college basketball history will be a wildcat for life. 9 McD’s All-Americans next year. Karl Towns is better than Anthony Davis and will DOMINATE. UK 2015 Nat’l Champs

ChewyParticipantthe best college coach in history is just ridiculous. He is not even the best active college coach right now.
If you want to call him the best recruiter in college basketball then you would have a really solid case to stand on.

HuskiesParticipantThe current coaches at Duke, Arizona, North Carolina, and Kentucky are all massively overrated. If you considered how many 5 stars recruits they get every year, those schools should at least be in final four every year!
Compare them to uconn, 4 national titles since 1999 with maybe 7 or so McDonald’s all American in their whole history.

khaled_a_dParticipantCalipari is a gr8 coach ,I think many underrates the job he has done in the last few years ,but no he isn’t by any mean the best coach in the history of college ,and as Chewy said he might not be the best active coach either
Anyway the contract is gr8 for both him and Kentucky0 - Posted on: Sat, 06/07/2014 - 10:07am #915352

HitsterParticipantCalipari is a very good coach and an elite recruiter, he is likely HOF one day as long as the recruiting issues don’t overshadow him.
I don’t see how anyone can call Coach K overrated with his record, like saying the same about Coach Poppovich or that Phil Jackson only won all his titles due to having MJ, Scotty, Shaq, Kobe etc on his rosters.
