I dont want this to sound stupid but how much difference  is playing in the national title game going to make for them? the obvious answer might be worlds  but they made the final four last year and the highest recruit they have signed for next year is a three star athlete. the excuse use to be that the best high school players wanted to sign at schools that were on tv quite often in order to get exposure. I think regardless of wins and losses players are going to want to go to the  traditional powerhouses but at what point do the gonzagas and butlers of the world start recieving this type of treatment where the top 50 players want to go there?

The Obvious question is…why should they? Their recruiting has improved though, they are pulling in higher level 3 star talent. I think stars are overrated, especially in basketball. Brad Stevens has a crazy eye for talent, and his player development and role creations are amazing. I think he is the kind of guy that gets off on doing it with diamonds in the rough, and given the success they have had, you gotta wonder why he’d change anything at all.

I think they will still go after the same kids they always would, the only change is that they will probably get alot more of their first option type kids than they used to.

impact doesn’t happen on recruiting right away probably wait 2 or 3 more years for it but never getting big time talent because of academic standards they have
