Okay I get it, I know that Love would make Chi town better. But how much better? They already have a really good front court with Noah, Gibson and Pau. So why go after Love? Why wouldn’t they go after Evan turner when he was available? To take some pressure off rose and the creating side of the ball

Maybe just maybe It’s to keep Cleveland from getting him… Chicago knows it has a couple years left to get it right with this core. So to keep The cavs from win now mode they bite the bullet and take the big fish off the board.

Yeah, I like the options they have inside.  They can go with defense with Noah and Gibson or they can go with scoring and SIZE with Noah and Pau.

McDermott isn’t known for defense, but a front line that includes Noah and Gibson (with Butler at the 2) can help mitigate that.

Noah can board and pass (as well as defend), McDermott can shoot, shoot, and shoot, and Pau can score on the low post.  That front line gives them what Kevin Love would give them.  Then they still have Gibson, Mirotic, and other front line assets.

For an extra guy to go after, what about CDR?  He can reunite with Derrick Rose with CDR giving them length and crafty scoring at the 2 guard spot.  The Bulls aren’t too deep at shooting guard if Butler plays more at the 3.  Then you have Tony Snell and Kirk Hinrich even though Hinrich may fit in better at point guard.

To me they are the favourites to win the East. They just need time to gel, but this may be as much about keeping Love away from Cleveland as that move will shift the power back in the direction of Cleveland.

Indiana, Washington, Charlotte and Toronto will be dark horses to come out but anyone of them is a plausible option no doubt.

If the Bulls somehow land Kevin Love they will have the best big man rotation in the league.

    There lineup will look like:

PG: Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, Aaron Brooks

    SG: Jimmy Butler, Tony Snell

    SF: Mike Dunlevy

PF: Kevin Love, Pau Gasol, Cameron Barstow

    C:   Joakim Noah, Nazr Muhammad

This will be the lineup if they go with the trade that will send Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic, and Doug McDermott. There’s reports today by the Chicago Sun-Time that they are not mentioning Nikola Mirotic as part as the trade offer.

Let’s get back to the front court ( big man rotation ). This rotation of big man is the best in the league. All three can past and all three bring something different to the game. Joakim Noah brings energy, defense, ball handling, and the ability to bring the ball up on the court.  Kevin Love is a great rebounder and also a lights out three point shooter. Pau Gasol is a great post player, can hit the mid range shot, and past out the post very well. All the player can pass the ball and that should help Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell cutting to the basket their offense will be much improved by adding more skilled players to the fold.

They will need to add more player to the bench and there was rumors stating the Bulls have interest in Jordan Crawford. He can add instant offense to the bench and will fill the DJ Augustine,  John Lucas III, Nate Robinson role as the instant offense spark plug.

This team can be very good with a adding Kevin Love to the mix but I like the Bulls roster as it is and giving up Taj Gibson, Doug McDermott, and Nikola Mirotic for Kevin Love is a bit much for the Bulls fans liking. Nikola Mirotic can be really good in the league. I won’t call him Kevin Love but he shot 46% from downtown oversees, he runs the court, and he’s skilled out of the post. And teams was calling the Bulls offering top 10 picks for this guy in this year’s draft. Doug McDermott is a top flight scorer and will be able to score right away with you team off the bench. Taj Gibson is great on defense which Kevin Love is not and brings energy and toughness to Chicago. He have heart and he have skills to back it up. He improved a lot since he got into the league. He can hit that baseline jump shot with ease, he can hit jump hooks with either shoulder, and he’s a great pick and roll player. You don’t trade that if your the Bulls. None of them is better than Love but the team will be better off not trading for Love.

Seems strange they sign Gasol and Mirotic then try last minute to get K-Love. Surely if they were going in for K-Love they wouldn’t have committed to Gasol who may not be happy at becoming a bench player and Mirotic could well be traded as soon as he signed.

Plus what Chicago can offer back will never be as good as what Cleveland can offer and to K-Love himself surely playing with LeBron is more attractive than playing with a post injury D-Rose at this moment.

Derrick Rose and Evan Turner dont hate each other… that whole thing is way over blown.. they did have a bit of a sectional Rivalary when Joes met Simeon.

Quick little Fact most dont know.. Before Evan was even on the Map as a soph in HS Evan played in a Prospect Showcase and guess who was his PG, Derrick Rose.. With that said the two complimented each other very well so well that Evan left the showcase as one of the top ranked players in the state.. he went from a complete unknown to a ranked prospect. Derrick Rose has something to do with that..

The Bulls Front court features two top passing big men in Pau and Noah. It will be fun to see the those two on the court together sharing the ball. The bulls don’t necessarily need to add Love, but that adds another great passing big.

The idea of Love joining up with LeBron is a major factor in CHI efforts. But, why not go after a star player who is still in his prime.
