Is Brad Miller coming back? Iif so, he helps on the C front. While not a wing shooter, he is a good shooter that can space the floor.

Lucas is a good option as a shooter. He’s on the SL team and has shown touch from 3 (about 75%). They also have Almond and Bouldin on the SL team. Both are shooting well there. Trade for Calderon. Good shooter, Great backup PG. No way he argues he should start over Rose. Gibson can play some C, or would complement Booze well when he switches.

They also have Veremeenko, He was a shooter.

While they could always use more, they are doing pretty good, considering that good teams only play a maximum of 9-10 players:

    Rose
    Brewer
    Deng
    Boozer
    Noah

    Gibson
    Korver
    Miller
    Pargo
    Asik
    Flip
    Veremeenko
    Law
    Johnson

Why would the Bulls trade for Calderon? You really want to get a backup PG who plays way below average defense for $10 MILLION A YEAR OVER 3 YEARS!?!?

Shaq wants to start and I don’t know how he’d feel being a backup C. He’d also clog the lane for Rose.

If anything we should trade for Rudy Fernandez to be a versatile swingman whos on a rookie contract. Then sign a big man like Brad Miller or Craig Smith (not a C but would fill in well as a backup 4). Personally I’m high on Omer Asik and I think he can avg 4 and 4 with a block as Noah’s backup.

As for PG it doesn’t matter who we get, Pat Mills, Acie Law, John Lucas so long as they can competently play PG for 12 min a game. We don’t need to spend any money for a backup cuz if Rose gets injured we’re screwed no matter what.

Asik, Brewer, Boozer, Rose, Deng, Gibson, Johnson, Korver, and Noah

and Brewer should play small forward bcuz he’s Posey 2.0 but he plays shooting guard cuz thats the only place for him to play

chibulls said everything perfectly. Bulls were trying to unload an overpaid backup in hinrich for awhile, it just became more of a need once they decided to try to open enough room for two max guys. I like Calderon and he would fit with the team, but the problem is that you have Derrick Rose. No sense in wasting money for guys that are only going to play a few minutes. This was always the reason that I didn’t understand why Orlando matched the offer for Gortat last year. When you have stars that play heavy minutes you generally just need someone that is going to be solid and not make mistakes for those few minutes they get in.

Fernandez would be a great pickup for them, I’m just not sure what Portland would want for him and if the Bulls have it. Surely his value has went down after last season, combined with the fact that they just gave Wes Matthews a big deal.

I like Brad Miller as a veteran presence and his ability to shoot, but I think he’s pretty much done for. He’s never been very mobile, but he is less so now. You might as well let Asik get in and play and there won’t be many minutes at the 4 spot with Gibson and Boozer. If they want a third center I think they should go with someone with a big body that can rebound a little. Maybe someone like Aaron Gray. He’s nothing spectacular, but he tends to play Howard pretty well and he knows his role. You could do a lot worse.

is a legit 7 footer and is expected to be a back up at center, not power forward.

Portland would want a bench power forward so basically Taj Gibson

    Fernandez and Pendengraph for Taj

    Rose – ???
    Fernandez – Korver
    Brewer / Deng
    Boozer – Pendengraph
    Noah – Asik

    Miller – Bayless – Johnson
    Roy – Williams – Bayless
    Batum – Babbit – Cunningham
    Aldridge – Gibson – Cunningham
    Oden – Camby – Pryz

The Bulls are one of the 5 teams he’s asked to be traded to (along with the Heat, Celtics, Knicks, and Nets) so the bulls better be after him especially since hes still on his rookie contract. If Pritchard was still GM it would have probably taken Taj and the Bobcats pick and/or a swap of first round picks. Hopefully Portland will accept 2 of the 3.

i got a lot of hate for my post and i dont see why. i def think three centers and pgs are a good thing in case somebody gets hurt or whatever. so they would still need a pg,c and another shooter at the wing and get rid of james johnson.

for you amateurs this is there line up

    Rose
    Korver
    Deng
    Boozer
    Noah
    g/f brewer
    c Asik
    pf gibson

thats it for players. and james johnson as well. i just think they dont have enough people to spread the floor.

patty mills is the best pg available for the most part. i guess we could go for flip back. he’s a pretty decent vet. not many good pg’s available. t mac would be decent they got some depth at the wing but deng isnt the safest either

The Bulls have alot of pieces. I don’t think we need too much. I would love someone like Keyon Dooling backing up Rose. I also believe we should sign Samardo Samuels as well.

    Rose-Brewer-Deng-Boozer-Noah

    Dooling-Gibson-Asik-Korver

Jason Williams would be a good fill in for them off the bench. Fernandez would be nice fit as well, he brings a lot of outside shooting and a high basketball IQ. Brad Miller signed with Houston by the way…
