Bulls deal in the making?

I would like to know what is the possibility of the Bulls giving up their 1st Round pick acquired in the James Johnson deal for O.J. Mayo before the deadline?

What are the pros & cons for both Chicago & Memphis with this type of deal?

I don't think Memphis is

I don't think Memphis is moving Mayo, solely because the Grizzlies are right on the cusp of being a playoff team.

Just a late 25-30 1st round

Just a late 25-30 1st round pick for OJ Mayo, not happenin. Would need a lot more included.

OJ Mayo would be a huge addition to the Bulls though and with Noah coming back is a darkhorse to win an NBA Championship

Lee

I think the Bulls would have a better chance of getting Lee from the Rockets. I feel that the Rockets are willing to give almost anyone from their roster up. I know the Bulls do not want to give up any or their young post talent so all they really have to use for a trade is their draft picks...

The Bulls have 2 first round

The Bulls have 2 first round draft picks to dangle...and possibly Taj Gibson. I feel that they are going to make a move before the deadline to get a 2 guard. Who? I don't know, but they made that James Johnson deal for a reason.

I agree that deal was made

I agree that deal was made for a reason not 1 pick but 2 a 25-30 1st round pick from miami and a potential top 5 pick in 2012 but I dont think Taj Gibson would be included right now he's to valuble due to Booz being a poor defender there 1.3 million under the salery which if they decided to move Bogans only with 3 sum million with those picks can possibly get a Courtney lee or Marcus Thorton from Sacremento or maybe anthony parker who might get bought out by cleavland.

The Bulls

I believe the Bulls now have 3 first rounders this year, correct? They have their own pick, the Heats pick (from Toronto for James Johnson) and Charlotte's (from the Tyrus Thomas trade). Would Memphis take two late round first round picks for Mayo? That is a lot to give up, but the Bulls will not do better than that with the projected players entering the draft this year.

I don't see the Mayo thing

I don't see the Mayo thing happening. I would be fine with either Afflalo or Lee.

Why not push hard for J.R.

Why not push hard for J.R. Smith while his value is of the see-saw effect?

Hopes up

I gotta hope that the bulls go after O.J. Mayo because he is such an undervalued player that plays at a high level but is still a little crybaby. Also I don't think he plays the best defense so I'm pretty sure coach wouldn't want him or play him all that much. However I think Courtney Lee would be a better addition to the team because he follows directions and has a pretty good upside and doesn't need the ball in his hands to be productive which I think is what the Bulls are looking for in targeting a shooting guard. They still want Rose to score the ball relentlessly.

As a Bulls Fan

I like most of the options mentioned (Lee, Mayo or JR Smith). I don't like the Parker pick up. I don't think he has the upside the others do. The Bulls actually acquired Smith a few years ago and peddled him to Denver for next to nothing. Paxson is a big team chemistry guy and that is why I don't put much into Smith coming to Chicago.

I am just thankful they did not land Mike Miller or JJ Reddick in the offseason. I wish I could add Bogens to that list.

Come on Pax, we have to part with Osik or Taj to make it work, so be it. We need a legit SG!

Would you bulls fans want

Would you bulls fans want Brandon Rush from the pacers and what would you give up for him? I think his defense is highly underrated but is a streaky shooter

They already get good defense

They already get good defense from Brewer. They need someone who create for themself offensively.

Brandon Rush won't be a

Brandon Rush won't be a starter on a good team. I do like how he has added muscle to his frame, he looks to be in the 225lb range
