GrandmamaParticipantI definately want my cousin Vinny gone, but I’m not too sure I want Avery Johnson. It almost seems like they are going to hang onto Del Negro until the season is over for some reason. I thought the final straw would have been that monumental collapse a few weeks ago against Sacramento. If they aren’t firing him after that game, I’m not too sure what will….But he definately won’t be back next year.
Anyone have good suggestions for the Bulls head coaching job post em

knicksfan7ParticipantJeff Van Gundy, I want him coaching again b/c he is terrible announcing games.

knicksfan7ParticipantThough I think Avery would be a great coach and install the two D’s Defense and Discipline into there minds.

TyroberParticipantavery would be great. he was a pointguard and would really open things up for rose and he scream defense down the throat of all the bulls. He wont come cheap but he is their best quality coach

doubledribblerParticipantDid someone say discipline and defense? Well that sounds like the guy they had before. I think his name was Scott Skiles. The only good thing about getting rid of Skiles is that it probably gave Noah more freedom to be himself which has helped him on the court. Not sure one guy getting better is worth that. I think Avery Johnson would be a horrible choice. I think he’s a good coach, but he would stifle Rose’s progress by micromanaging too much just like he did with Devin Harris and Kidd couldn’t play under him either. The best available guy out there is probably going to be Byron Scott. I’m still not sure why he got fired either of the times he got fired. The New Orleans team was basically Chris Paul and a bunch of bench players. While they bring in a new coach they need to bring in some better talent too.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI agree with you 100%. You said it perfectly. I don’t think Avery Johnson would be a good fit at all. He’s a big time micromanager. Devin Harris didn’t take off until he was traded to New Jersey. I don’t think he’d be a great coach for Rose.
I think a lot of the Bulls’ problems have been thrown on the coach. The players are going to have to start being held accountable. They haven’t stepped up. I think the Bulls really need to gut this team and get some new players in there. It can’t always fall on the coach. It falls on everybody… The players, coach and front office.
