BasterdInABasketParticipantBucks front and center second day of free agency. Signed both Teletovic and Delly for about 9-10 Million each, for solid rotation players it seems like that’s about the going rate and even on the low end for recent contracts this year.. Perimeter D, and three point shooting, two of their biggest weaknesses last year get a major boost.
Now there’s the rumor started by Bill Simmons (I believe) that Wade is trying. To gain leverage for a max deal from Miami and could seek out a 4 year max offer from The Bucks.. Obviously that actually happening is a long shot but what’s your thoughts on the two moves and the Wade rumor?
I like the two signings. Dellevadova is a capable backup guard who brings some of the things Giannis Middleton and Vaughn don’t and Mirza can stretch the floor like Monroe can’t at the four and is familiar with Kidd.
As far as Wade I don’t think management would think twice about trying to sign him on. Yes he’s 34 and often injured but his unselfishness and leadership would be a great influence on their young guys and ownership would see lots of dollar signs marketing and merchandise wise with Wade. A max contract probably makes more sense off the court then on the court but realistically Milw isn’t going to be a championship team the next 2-3 years

sweaterflexParticipantBoth of these were great signing (provided the Cavs don’t match on Delly). Delly is an excellent defensive point guard, I would hope he starts and they let Giannis initiate the offense. The Bucks also needed a four who could stretch the floor, but Teletovic pairs with Plumlee better than Monroe or Henson. If they don’t dump Monroe, is Henson the odd man out? Wade always says ridiculous things while he’s negotiating, no way Wade goes to Milwaukee, no matter how much Riley lowballs him.

VCJR THE BEASTParticipantI am a heat fan so yeah I am worried about D Wade leaving. I don´t think he will go to the Bucks, my opinion is that he is going to the Cavs, the Spurs or the Heat. BUT if the Bucks somehow get Wade they will be a scary team;
PG- Giannis
SG- MCW
SF- Wade (he would play the 3 on offense but the 2 on defense)
PF- Teletovic ( they need some shootting)
C- Maker (same reason as Teletovic)
Sixth Man – Greg Monroe

Hype MachineI just feel like the Bucks are a team on the up and up.
Always zagging when everyone else is zigging.
A couple of great signings who can both really space the floor.

machu46ParticipantNobody will offer him a max contract at this point in his career. The most Milwaukee can offer him is $23-26 million depending on if they move Monroe and MCW.
The most that Miami can offer him without trading Dragic or Bosh is roughly $18-20 million due to the fact that Whiteside doesn’t have bird rights. They can’t fit Whiteside’s new contract under the cap unless Wade takes $18-20 million.
I still tend to believe he’ll end up returning to Miami, but Miami has to move McRoberts and then convince Wade to take that $18-20ish million.

mamadouParticipantYou’re right, dump mcBob and a 2nd rounder to the Nets and give Wade HIS money.

machu46ParticipantBasically, yeah. But even then, Wade can only get $18-20 million. It sounds like he wants far more than that. I don’t think anyone will give him much more though. I’m guessing the most he gets is around $23 mil.

XYRYXParticipantIf Wade really is open to go elsewhere the Clippers should consider him imo. They just had a meeting with KD and according to the media it went pretty well. Many of us still think KD remains in OKC and I hope he does as well.
So if the Clippers want to make a splash and strike out on KD and still want to make moves, they should consider Wade to me as he is the only FA available who already was where this whole franchise wants to be. With Crawford most likely gone or as a 36 y/o option why not try to convince Wade to join a contender who has a need at the wings?
Maybe a little bit far fetched but the Clippers still are a contender and already have a core who doesn’t need many more pieces to be really considered a top notch team.

nill650Participantgood landing spot for Dellevedova I guess , if the Cavs don’t change thier mind and decide to match since the $ is’nt that unreasonable for what he gives you.

HitsterParticipantIf D-Wade wants a new project then the Bucks could be an interesting option although my head says he plays out his days in Miami.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantNot since Alonzo in Training Day has anyone given a rookie a career like LeBron did Dellavedova, though it did take more than 18 months and the Bucks aren’t SIS.
