Now that the playoffs are officially over for the following backcourt mates (Lowry/DeRozan, Wall/Beal, Lillard/McCollum), which tandem do you potentially see being broken up first if the storyline picks up into the offseason, and which guy will be the one to go?

Lowry and DeRozan. The other guys are all relatively young still…Lowry is over 30

Raptors wont be broken up. I dont think Casey will be fired and I dont think think Derozan or Lowry will be traded. The Raptors have built a winning organization and I dont think they will let it go. I think they are trying to make this core group last as long as they can. The Raptors have been around for 20 years and dont have one player they can truly call a great Raptor. Vince Carter’s team legacy was tarnished. Bosh left. Mcgrady left. Casey is our only decent coach. They want these guys to retire or leave as Raptors and stay around the organization to slowly build the culture and prestige that and tradition other organizations have. I mean even the Hawks have Dominique Wilkins/MatumboMaravich/ Malone, the Suns have Nash/Marleje/Johnson/Barkley/Stat/Marion. Something for the fanbase to hold onto. The only true Raptors that will come out to a game and support the "culture" would be Alvin Williams, Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Mo Pete and Im alnmost certain nobody under the age of 15 has any clue who those guys are.

but I’m over 30, so your point is valid.

great question. Problem is that breaking these teams up will be a lot harder than people think. I for one think all 3 should be broken IF POSSIBLE.

The Raptors backcourt most definitely. I think you still keep Derozen but Kyle Lowry has to go. The Apex of Derozen and Lowry was this season. The Celtics, 76ers and Bucks will only get better. And as Long as LeBron James is in the East it’s over for the raptors.

At the end of the day it’s winning championships. Who cares about a Culture and Prestige that doesn’t win a championship and bows down to LeBron every playoff?? Kyle Lowry wasn’t even drafted  by the organization. You can make a case for Derozen tho. I think you go with Derozen and OG maybe even JV. And see what the trade market is for everyone else

…signs in LA before breaking up the backcourt? They might stumble into the Finals next year by just getting better, making a few tweeks, and having the Cavs rebuild.

Problem is, you won’t get much for Lowry with this contract combined with his age.. Derozan has more trade value.. And Lowry actually played pretty well vs the Cavs, but Derozan..

Definitely Lillard/McCollum is the most likely to be broken up imo. There’s just too much overlap in their skill sets in their skill sets and the rest of the roster is not good enough as constructed seriously make the leap into true contender status. I think they are about maxed out as is. I doubt lillard is going anywhere but I expect them to heavily shop McCollum this offseason. He has a contract that’s traceable and could net them assets to balance out their roster.

If Hinkie was still GM, he’d do it, Colangelo wouldn’t/. Think about it…just like MCW, Simmons has a fatal flaw: shooting. Don’t get me wrong, Simmons is 5x the player MCW is, but his shooting is still a flaw that any team can exploit. I’m not saying the trade makes PHI more talented, just more balanced and a harder out in the playoffs
