balltilifall5ParticipantOther than everyone’s obvious answer–Anthony Randolph–what NBA player is stuck on the bench that if given sufficient minutes would be a star-quality baller?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 7:38am #255351
JNixonParticipantNICK YOUNG.

quinceyhodgesrandolph has gotten minutes before and wasnt a star quality play so no thats not obvious. fans over hyped him this summer. yes he is talented and has potential but he isnt close to being a star right now. the same with nick young. hes gotten time before and wasnt a star. ya’ll are confusing star with good player

JNixonParticipantQuincey, this is an opinion topic. You don’t have to criticize every post man. Just tell us who’s your choice on this matter.

DanEboyParticipantI will go with three point guards. They are learning now but I think they could be very good players in the league.
Teague-Hawks
Beaubois-Mavs
Maynor-ThunderEarl Clark on the Suns is also someone I think will be a solid starter soon.

quinceyhodgesarent most topics opinion topics?..favors,jai lucas, wall, etc?
Y’all, is a contraction or informal form of the phrase “you all”, and is pronounced as one syllable (“yawl”) or disyllable (“yu-all” or “yu-awl”). It is used as a plural second-person pronoun. Commonly believed to have originated in the Southern United States, it is primarily associated with Southern American English, African-American Vernacular English, and some dialects of the Western United States.[1] It is also used outside the United States in the English-speaking islands of the West Indies, Sri Lankan English

NashyMingParticipantPaul Millsap! The guy has proven to be a potential star player when Boozer was out. Every time Boozer went down, Millsap played like a star with more PT.
I actually think Millsap is a better all-around player than Boozer already given Millsap works harder for rebounds and plays better defense. Boozer is still slightly better in scoring.
Ramon Sessions – I think he took a big hit when nobody paid for his service in the summer and ended up joining to TWolves who obviously put Flynn in priority. I think Ramon Sessions is actually the better player, but he’s not really in TWolves’ plan. Ramon Sessions may not be a star, but he is a good player and can start for many decent teams.
JaVee McGee has a better chance to be a star than Nick Young. It is unfortunate for the Wizards that they got a lot of good young players but they seemed to all have character issues. I actually think Arenas might have provide a bad influence to all the young players there. Blatche got a lot of talent, but got some character issues. Young got talent, but hasn’t been taking his NBA career seriously to realize his potential (quite a few reports with issues on Young vs coach). I think Young and Blatche got too caught up with their talents that they will not reach their potentials. JaVee McGee seems to be the only young player on the Wizards that still make reach his potential. I think the Wizards should develop McGee to be the big man of the future.

quinceyhodgesalso just a thought. this would mean these players arent getting alot of minutes and if they did they would be star players correct?..hasnt nick young and randolph gotten alot of minutes for long periods of time before?..not tryna be negitive but i do think thats a valid point. i can see if neither ever got big minutes but both have before and although they may have been good i dont recall them being star good

JNixonParticipantI agree that Javale McGee can be a big-time player in the future…He’s got good, yet raw skills down low and in the high post and he’s a presence defensively with his length. He’s got a bright future if brought along the correct way.

gatorheelsParticipantBrandan Wright will prove people wrong once he gets fully healthy & receives consistent playing time. Not a star but a very solid pro.

248curtem33ParticipantAny player that has made the L.A. lakers minor league or final 15 player roster drafted or fingered by Mitch Kupchak not named Mike Penberthy or Mark Madsen. Mike Penberthy should wear his NBA championship ring around to purposely fool stupid groupies into having orgies with him while he isn’t married.

JoeWolf1I mean, you can’t argue why he isn’t getting minutes because he is playing behind Chauncey Billups, but I think Ty Lawson is going to be a star quality point guard when given the opportunity.

Michael.S.Participantquincey-you have got to be shitting me…You think Luke Walton can be a star?haha
1)Nick Young—-Again, quincey, get your stuff right….When given the minutes Nick Young has produced, and produced very well…six 20+ point games this season and 17 double digit point games and 75% of those games he only played 20something minutes…
2)Roddy Beaubois
3)JJ Hickson
4)Marvin Williams
5)Courteny Lee
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 11:00am #255444
gatorheelsParticipantMike- Nick Young hasn’t been that impressive this season. When you watch him play he really doesn’t do anything besides score.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 11:01am #255445
BKKnicksfanParticipantWhy are you getting on him for his opinion Mike?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 11:13am #255452
Michael.S.ParticipantIts not an opinion, its a fact…He has produced….
@Gator
I have been watching him all season…and he does score, but he has improved his D and earlier in the year he guarded Wade just as good as anyone can….he doesn’t rebound all thaat well nor is he a distributor…But he is not that bad on D….

balltilifall5ParticipantQ Haynes, quite mature of you to give me a bunch of negative points, good thing that my NBADRAFT profile isnt my life and i could care less. I said the obvious answer because i knew when i asked this question many people would say randolph, i didnt say that that is what i thought so chill out bro. Thanks for defining y’all for me, i was kinda unsure.
I really like Beaubois, multiple triple doubles in his career i believe.
Goran Dragic will also be a very solid PG in the league.
Jordan Hill will be a very good rebounder and shot blocker, add 10 points a game0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 12:04pm #255479
BKKnicksfanParticipantWhy would Q Haynes give you negatives? I didn’t even see him post here…..
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 12:07pm #255483
balltilifall5Participanthaha well i had 12 points and i posted this forum and he did his usual “im smarter than you and am ever knowing” routine and gave some smart a$$ response and i said something back and now i magically have -1 points. weird huh?

BKKnicksfanParticipantwait? Q Haynes or Q Hodges?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/12/2010 - 12:12pm #255490
quinceyhodgesi can tell you for one its not me..i really could care for points. i even deleted my account that had 1300 points to show how much i dont care for them. people take my points all the time and i never say” i dont care for points but why i get a negitive” because i really dont care. i do give people points though.
