    Dallas Mavs:
-Justin Anderson. Anderson averaged only 12 minutes per game while shooting 40/26/80 in a disappointing rookie campaign. However, Anderson should expect more minutes this season as the primary backup to both Wes Matthews and Harrison Barnes. Anderson has nice physical attributes and a sweet stroke from outside. I think he takes the next step in becoming a solid 3-and-D wing, and should expect 20-ish minutes per game this upcoming year.
    Honorable mention(s): Dwight Powell

    Houston Rockets:
-Sam Dekker. Dekker lost much of his rookie campaign to a nagging back injury. However, if his play in summer league is any indication, he should receive minutes this season. He is an athletic combo forward that can be a matchup nightmare when he’s on, and his stroke looks much better since he left Wisconsin. I think he could very well make Ariza expendable and work his way into a steady part of the Rockets rotation.
    Honorable mention(s): Clint Capela

    Memphis Grizzlies:
-James Ennis. Since I stay away from rookies in these rankings, I’d have to pick Ennis as the potential breakout candidate for the Griz. He played really well in April, averaging 17 points, 3 rebounds and almost 2 steals while shooting 53/44/73 in seven games. Who knows if he can keep that up, but it surely is promising.

    New Orleans Pelicans:
-Anthony Davis. Most of you may be surprised with Davis being here, but many seemed to forget of his star status last season, as the Pels season was a disaster. I believe that Davis reminds us why he is perhaps the brightest young star in the NBA, and lifts the Pels to near playoff status.

    Honorable mention(s): Terrance Jones

    San Antonio Spurs:
-Kyle Anderson. Anderson has gained fans in the NBA community with his continued strong play in the summer league during the past few seasons. His shooting stroke, playmaking ability, and surprisingly adept play on the defensive end makes it puzzling that his success hasn’t translated to the NBA hardwood just yet. That may have just changed, as the Spurs dealt Boris Diaw, a player who brings a lot of the same things that Anderson does. I believe he could emerge as a key bench player for the Spurs this season, thanks in part to a clearer path to consistent playing time that he’ll see.

Don’t sleep on Tyreke Evans to have an improved campaign. Coming off his second major knee injury in two seasons, if he can stay healthy, he can be the second option New Orleans is looking for next to Anthony Davis. Carving out the role that Jrue Holiday was supposed to be.

Jrue Holiday actually played really well last years and put up good numbers even though he was on a minute restriction earlier in the year
