AdamJCallejaParticipantBrannen Greene will enter the draft and hire agent.
As a Kansas fan, I don’t think this is the right decision for Greene, he never really got steady minutes throughout his career & with Selden gone he had a very good chance of reserving the starting 3 spot.
After watching every KU game of his 3 year career here are his strengths and weaknesses
Strengths: Solid size and great length for an NBA 2 guard. Might be the best pure shooter in this year’s draft. The boy can shoot, effortless stroke beyond NBA range. Mainly used for spot up 3’s at KU but shows that he’s just as good off the bounce. Very solid ball handling foundation, capable of bringing the ball up.
Weaknesses: Never got consistent minutes at KU mainly due to his poor defense. Pretty awful on-ball and off-ball defender. Slow laterally and gets knocked off balance easily on close-outs. Shaky handle when trying to create for himself. Underwhelming first step and below average athleticism will prevent him from becoming anything more than shooting off the bench in the league.
I can see a team taking him in the 40-55 range. Will most likely light up the D-League.

dcaseParticipantThis could be addtion by subtraction for KU.

ChewyParticipantHe was a good enough college player to be a complete headcase and still remain on the team. He is barely good enough to be an NBA prospect (he is a boarderline talent). But any GM who interviews him for 40 mins and still want to put him in their locker room is an idiot.
From multiple team suspensions for "conduct detremental to the team" to his last second basket against K-State in a 20 point win to a game (can’t remember against who) where in the late game fouling situations, after every foul Greene SPRINTED to the basket (post whistle) to slap the backboard. He did this on 5 straight possesions for absolutely NO LOGICAL reason! It was hilarious and confusing at the same time.
I honestly started wishing Self would put him in the game for some morbid curiosity as to what he would do next!
Definitely addition by subtraction. But with Selden and Green gone, KU really needs Jackson or they are going to be weak on the wing. Vick doesn’t look great and can’t guard 3’s. Svi looks good offensively but can’t guard anyone…Guards and Posts looks to be in good shape tho.

usfballerParticipantif I were a betting man, I’d bet the house on Bill Self telling Greene to either transfer or go pro cuz he wasn’t gonna be welcomed back to KU. Spent more time in Self’s doghouse than on he floor it seemed. When his game never developed, he became to much trouble for the headaches he caused.
As was said earlier, addition by subtraction.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantHomeboy will go un-drafted and maybe…..maybe play in the D-league? More likely over-seas or no where?
