What do you guys think he will be? Who does he remind you of and will he ever be a number 2 option? I’m asking cuz I’ve known him for a min and was wondering what people think of him. If anybody saw him play b4 he went to KU would know he’s a great athlete and is more of a slasher than shooter. Its seems like once he got to KU he turned into a good defender and corner shooter. I think if he wabts to have any success he needs to go back to his slashing high flying ways. I grew up in KC and this guy could jump with anybody. His coaches always say how great an athlete he is but he rarely shows it in games I think he just lacks a good bball IQ.

I like him but Indiana doesn’t play him as much as I thought they would.

He can shoot and toward last season, he played well. I expected him to be a MIP candidate. I see him either becoming a player off the bench to contribute or a trade piece.

pretty good player..flying and slashing is alot easier against highschool kids then against faster college or nba players..alot of players find that out when they get to the nba (d.stevenson i the first that comes to mind)..lucky he was smart enough to make other parts of his game better…with that said i dont see him being a second option, and not on the pacers for sure.(hibbert and dunlevay when he comes back and to my suprise d.jones) but he is in a good situation that will let him become a good player

I was on my phone so I couldn’t elaborate more. I think Brandon Rush’s role in the NBA is going to be a defensive stopper who has a very good mid-range game. He is very athletic, but in my opinion he is better suited for a jump shooting game, and a 3rd option. He is more athletic than Bowen, but I see him as a great perimeter defender who his his open shots for 11-13 per game. He does have the ability to open up for bigger games, but is often too unselfish of a player and doesn’t look for shots for himself very often. I just don’t think he will be a consistent 15-20 ppg scorer in the NBA.

He should never be more than a 4th or 5th option. He doesn’t have the handle to be more than a spot-up shooter in half-court sets…he reminds me of Mikael Pietrus more than anyone….he is a very good defender and has always been, he can develop into a lockdown defender who defends the best players offensively in basketball. But yea, I expected him to play more than he has too, but Jones’ emergence has alot to do with that.

He is just a piece to a championship team, never will he be more than that 3rd or 4th option at best. In highschool he was thought to be a one and done. Makes me think if some players that went to school would have better games if they could have made the jump straight to the NBA, and some players that didn’t go to college would be better off by doing so.

Brandon Rush is a good player, but he’s timid. I have season tickets with the Pacers and I wish he’d be more aggressive offensively. I wish he’d attack more and use his athleticism around the rim. I’m disappointed that Dahntay Jones, a player with the rep of a non-offensive player, came in and has been more aggressive offensively than Rush.

Rush will never be more than a 4th or 5th option at best. He’s his brother Kareem, except with more athleticism and better defense.
