Is Brandon Roy ready to hang'em up?

News coming out the Brandon Roy yet another setback in his attempt to comeback once again from knee surgery. I saw him play back in Novenber when the Wolves played Orlando in Mpls... He dragged his leg badly and it was very sad/painful to watch.

@ NickWayne hate when people

@ NickWayne hate when people bring money as a factor to why he came back. Ever think that maybe he loves the game? Jesus man maybe he fought for something he loved because he didn't want to sit on his ass not knowing if he could have made it back. It has been his dream to play ball since he was a boy and he gave it his all to not have that taken from him. Wish him the best,

I have no doubt Brandon Roy

I have no doubt Brandon Roy loves the game, but wouldn't it be fair to say it could've been a bit of both. It's not unheard of that an NBA player has burned through the money he's made in his career in an unreal fashion. I'm not saying it's necessarily the case, but it could have been an added incentive to return.

I doubt he needs the money,

I doubt he needs the money, but there is a financial incentive for him NOT to retire again this yr. The 2nd yr of his contract is non-guaranteed. If he can't play, then they won't owe him anything next yr. I'm not sure, but I also think he has incentives in his contract based on games played.

@BenchWarmer I hate when people use god name in vain. Couldn't u just said "Dude maybe he fought for something" instead of using the lord name in vain. C'mon dude there's a million more words u can use.

just ignore it, dont bring

just ignore it, dont bring religion into this. maybe he is buddist and he doesnt follow a god, or maybe he is an atheist. His comment had nothing to with putting down christianity or using gods name in vain, and if it did you telling us there is a god is just as bad(I dont know if there is or isnt)

back on track

I think that Roy is going to hang up his hightops and I'm glad that both he and the Wolves took a chance on this one last time. Kahn was snakebit with Josh Howard and Buddinger and Rubio and Love and so on. If Roy retires then $5 million will come off their salary cap number and may open up the opportunity for a mid-season trade. I think Gerald Henderson would be a great addition to the team.

The fact anybody thought Roy

The fact anybody thought Roy had a chance at being successful is silly. I loved Roy in Portland, but you can't play with zero meniscus in both of your knees. Roy isn't hurting for money. Why he continues to put his body through this is beyond me.

Brandon Roy

Brandon Roy can have anything he wants in life except what he wants most.... a great NBA career.

The guy has a dream and I don't blame him for trying to get it out of his system before he calls it quits.

Let's be honest here... The

Let's be honest here... The ONLY hope for Roy is a meniscus transplant. The procedure is out there. The only problem would be if Roy meets the criteria. You can't have too much damage to your articular cartilage.

At this point, after all of the grinding due to Roy trying to defy logic, his articular cartilage is probably too damaged. He's probably not a good candidate for the procedure, but at this point... What other options does he have?

I mean, Roy would need a meniscus transplant AND micro-fracture surgery, and on both knees too.

It's time for B. Roy to hang em up and enjoy his wife, kids, family and money... His career ended pre-maturely, but he's a rich young man who won't have to work for the rest of his life if he doesn't want to. Maybe he can get a basketball related job where he can still be involved with the game.

I hear pig bladder

I hear pig bladder transplants work, they say when implanted in the human body it regenerates that part of the body so he could look into that for his knees. FYI to people saying he's broke, he's not: http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-athletes/nba/brandon-roy-net-wo...
