HayatoKanzaki1ParticipantThe only impact we are going to see is Roy losing his ability to walk. He has no meniscus in his knee. he needs to stop nd take it easy. I know its hard but you can’t risk your personal health for basketball. Stay retired man. your body will thank you for it later.

Wahoo757ParticipantI’d rather him stay retired and him have the lasting memory of carrying the Blazers on his back for a comeback W over the Mavs in the playoffs than being a shell of himself being a role player off the bench and fading into irrelevancy.

sheltwon3ParticipantIf he had the procedure that Kobe and a couple of people have had plus with time to rest, I am sure he can come back. Blair plays with no ACL and no one is tripping. I think with the way advancement in medicine are, it would not surprise me if he comes back and is a solid player.

ZeeProfessorParticipantBrandon Roy is my favourite player but I don’t want to see him play again.
Although nothing would make me happier than seeing him play like he did in Dallas, which was a brilliant last stand, the only two things that I see happening if he does come back are:
1) He plays up to his usual level for a couple years but is unable to walk later on in life
2) He becomes a solid bench player for a team and is irrelevant for most of his career
I don’t want to see either of those things happening, these scenarios aren’t worth losing your ability to walk, no matter how much you love basketball.
