The Blazers are trailing, but it feels good to see Brandon Roy playing well when a lot of people, including his own coach and fans in Portland, had written him off. This is the second game in a row Roy has played well. He’s looking like the Roy of old right now trying to lead this fourth quarter comeback.

As I said in a thread a few days ago… He has the obvious knee issues, but his skills didn’t just disappear overnight. He can still shoot, create, pass and isn’t afraid to make plays when the game is on the line. McMillian was wrong for only playing him 8 minutes during game two in Dallas.

McMillian should be smacked in the face!

That last play just had all of the potential in the world to go wrong. Why didn’t he just put the ball in Roy’s hands to begin with??? Instead he have Miller bring it up and then Miller passes it to Roy with two seconds on the shot clock… Stupid.

Had Terry gotten a layup or made that three, they’d have felt stupid as hell.

Congrats to my man Brandon Roy!!!

Brandon might not be the athlete he was but they say your jumpshot is the last thing to go and he has that and his elite basketball IQ

Plain and simple. Unbelievable clutch performance. I am not going to go crazy and say he should get more minutes or run the point, but at the end of the game, he should definitely be out there. It was incredible seeing him do his thing at the end of this game, legendary 4th quarter performance. 18 points on 8-9, 4 assists and that amazing 4 point play to tie the game, not to mention the game winner! Great to see Brandon Roy tie this series 2-2, GO BLAZERS!

I think his career is still salvegable. Perhaps he will turn into Manu Ginobli type guard but just slightly below (15PPG 5APG) type. I’m probably being too optimistic, but while his athleticism has left him, his IQ and skill set is as good as ever.

He *SHOULD* get more minutes… No question about it. That’s a case that’s been closed these last two games.

I always compare him to Manu anyway so that works for me. Even with his injuries he is basically as athletic as Miller is and with Wallace and Batum they can make up for and defensive liability he might have.

I think it all depends on how they use him.

I wouldn’t practice him. They’ll have to watch his minutes. I think they should use a similar format as Pop does with Tim Duncan.

It’ll be tough, but it’s worth a shot… Especially considering that contract he has.

Brandon Roy did today what Rose has been doing all season, the first 3 playoff games, and what Rose did today. Noah couldnt find Rose in the clutch and Boozer mised a 3 thats the only difference.

As a Mavericks’ fan this sucks.  2006 NBA Finals all over again.  Don’t want to write the Mavs off yet, but we will find out how mentally tough they are when they play Monday night.

    Pathetic.

That was awesome; very moving. Glad to see Roy and the Blazer fans (both top notch folks) get that experience. Normally I pull for Dallas, but after Roy started leading that comeback, I wanted to see him get the win that he deserved.

Blazers fan : "Brandon Roy career is over, we need to dump his salary this offseason"

    HA!!!!!!

Mr clutch is back!  However the referees have been pathetic the whole series, first two games horrible calls for the blazers, and the next two for the Mavs.

Let’s see what happens in game 5

doubt he can play at the level he did before, but if he can accept his limitations he can still put up double digit points

That jumper is obviously still there..

Roy’s game wasn’t based around athleticism which is good for him, his jumper, and his craftiness will keep him as a 16+ scorer definetly, i think he’ll definetly be fine
