Does not mean he isn’t good in both sports……As stated he will take the bball route if it can get him a scholarship.

wow i remember him from Jennings feature in the "Gunnin for the #1 Spot" movie and he was a little kid and even when Brandon was just a sophmore or junior already said he was his favorite/the best player in the world.

Speaking of little bros what happened to Sebastian Telfairs?

"Speaking of little bros what happened to Sebastian Telfairs?"

I seen a clip of Ethan on youtube talking about the Tim Hardaway crossover being his favorite move.

Ethan Telfair got arrested like 2 months ago on a gun charge and attempted bribary of a police officer…http://www.getyaweightuptv.com/2011/05/sebastian-telfairs-16-yr-old-brother.html…on a side note, I watched the semi-finals and finals of the 8th grade AAU national tournament on espn3…wow….8th grade is not like I rememberd it…lol….got some GROWN men out there.  Terrance Phillips had a chance to send his team to the championship but missed 2 free throws with like 1.8 seconds

MICKEY MICHEL the #1 rated player in the class of 2015 led his Texas Titans squad to the championship win with a near triple double with 23 pts 7 ast and 10 reb plus had 5 blks.  The other game I saw of him, he was just as dominant.  Standing 6’7” 225, he has total court awareness and the ability to play the point guard position very effectively because of his incredible passing skills.  Tremendous basketball IQ and good athleticisim,  watching Mickey Mitchel play its clear he will be an imediate impact player at the high school level.

The 2 point win in the championship was over (ironically) another team from the Dallas area in the Texas Elite.  There were 128 teams from all over the nation, so the fact it came down to two teams from Texas says something about the basketball coming out of that state.  They had some notable players in Austin Gradstaff who is ranked #5 in the country by Hoop Scoop online.  He is a solid player, but not #5 in  the country IMO.   6’6” 230 pounder Elija Thomas was also another notable name.  Not very athletic, but the fundementals he has at that age and size are quite polished.  Has a nice touch around the rim and good block shot abilities He led the team in scoring in the semi-final game with 22 pts and pitched in 7 reb 3 ast and 4 blk….In the finals, he put up a double double.

Overall, the games were pretty well played with excellent passing from all teams I watched.  It’s crazy how far 8th grade aau basketball has come….The skill level these kids have is pretty impressive plus I am watching it on  ESPN for crying out loud…lol…but….it was overall good basketball and definitely more entertaining than 99.9 percent of WNBA games…so, it’s worth the watch if anyone has time.
