Brandon Jennings To Detroit?
It seems as though the pistons have shifted their gear from Rondo to Jennings.
Brandon Jenning has made it clear that he does not want to return to the bucks. This wouldn't be bad, the pistons get another good floor general who can shoot as well.
I dont think its a good fit, hes a pg that needs to shoot to feel like hes helping and plays bad D
if im Detroit I dont want him
pistons don't care how bad he is, they want the "star" names
Jennings, Josh Smith, Drummond...is this the All-Low Basketball IQ team?
I don't know where you're getting the idea that Drummond has low basketball IQ from, but I definitely wouldn't lump him in with the rest of them.
He needs to get out of that AI mindset. point blank
If I'm the Pistons I don't automatically hang up if the Celts inquire about a Rondo for Drummond swap. I understand Drummond could be a phenomenal center but Rondo is the best passer in the league when healthy, just now entering his prime at age 27 and has an affordable contract for a borderline superstar. I'm not saying I would do the deal, but when you consider that the Pistons have three extremely talented big men who don't project to have elite chemistry (to say the least), Drummond could be considered a luxury. If you have Rondo to feed the ball to Smith and Monroe in the paint with Knight and Pope on the wing...that's a team built to compete in the East for the next five years with at least the #6 seed this year pretty much assured.
Just playing devil's advocate here.
Hating this. They have Bynum as a backup.
They have just signed Chauncey Billups which is the smartest move made by the Pistons. Chauncey will play in Detroit for the next two season - he will mentor Brandon Knight: this will be huge as Knight will turn it around and turn into the quality player we all thought he would be on draft day....
We dont' need Jennings, the Pistons will be a 7th or 8th seed this year and will get playoff experience. With their young team still developing they could make it to the second round of the playoffs the following season...
Joe Dumars already confirmed this to be false, I can't post the link though. This was likely just a desperate attempt by Jennings agent to garner interest, nothing more.
The Pistons don't need Jennings, Rondo, or Josh Smith for that matter. If there is any truth to this it's because the pistons desperately need to get people to come out and watch the games. I really wish they would have stood pat and upgraded through the draft...
Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith on the same team?
Disaster.......Seriously, I don't like either one of them, both are tooooo selfish and think they are better than what they are.
Why do you guys hate Jennings so much? He seems to have a bad reputation as a chucker but I saw that more because the Bucks simply didnt have many more offensive options... Their offense was horrible. Sure he could bulk up or make better decisions or take better/less shots but how much of that had to do with his situation? I don't have the statistics but he'd have stretches when he'd be dropping a lot of assists when Milwaukee's offense had a groove. In my eyes he's a very willing passer
But that being said, I agree that Detroit doesn't need him. The Billups signing was great and they have Bynum back. Unless they're not completely confident in Knight's PG abilities...
Detroit need pass first PG and Rondo was the perfect suit to elevate them to the next level. I'm happy he's sticking with the C's and for me there's no doubt he's gonna be their new franchise icon!
