Brandon Jennings - A Chucker?

In watching videos on jennings and looking at his euro stats, it seems to me that jennings is a chucker; sort of like what baron davis has become on the clippers. In Italy, he took 19 shots in one game when he only scored 17. he also frequently shoots a lot of 3 pointers even tho he shoots 3s at an abysmal rate. Is he a chucker?

i think so

even when euro basketball games are more perimeter oriented, i think he shoots a bit too much...
and that's when the 3point line is something like a foot closer to the hoop than NBA.

One other point though: I think his assist numbers are deflated a little bit because euro games only award assists when it directly leads to a basket (i.e. no dribbling between the pass and the finish)

If he is, the transition to

If he is, the transition to the NBA is gonna be very difficult. Point guards like Barron are not exactly a hot item in todays game. Barron can be successful doing it because everyone knows that's Barron before they get him. A young punk trying to take 20 shots a game from the point isn't going to cut it. I hope he comes in and averages close to 7 assist like Rose and challenges Blake and Ricky for ROY.

he is flashy, plays hot dog ball but...

He is also supremely talented. He is under a lot of pressure, young, and way out of his comfort zone. Probably a little hungry to make a difference for hte scouts is all. In the Mcdonalds game, he said he was goin out to break the assist record, thats a good point guard motive. His ball handling and very are unreal, he will work on his shot selection, and be an absolute thrill to watch. He is the flashiest player ive seen since Jason Williams in his prime at Sac town. He has the potential to be a much more effective player though.

I wouldn't mind him on the Timberwolves either

Super talented and great court vision. He has a nice shot to but yes his shot selection could be better. He was a great scorer in Highschool, if he could be like that in the pros also, he will be very dangerous.

Dpends on team

Being a chucker isnt bad depending on wat team u go 2. I read someone said baron davis type pg arent hot in the league rite now. U got 2 understand baron is in a offense that doesnt suit any of his abilities. When he was in golden state no one was complaining about davis jacking up shots becuz thats part of their system. it worked. The clips have an idiot coach and thats why davis cant do anything

its not just the coach, its

its not just the coach, its him. i think he is getting older or just not trying. How many dunks does he have this year? 0. How can a guy do the dunk he did on AK47 and then not dunk anymore 2 years later?

Yea

He is very flashy and he can really handle it and make plays for his teammates. He is a little inconsistent as a shooter and he isnt strong but he is a chucker, yes. He can make plays and an NBA level coach will tell him what shots to take and when to make plays for his teammates

I said that Barron type PGs

I said that Barron type PGs aren't hot right now because they aren't. The best PGs in the league are very good at finding their players first, then getting their shots. I also said that Barron is successful becaues a team knows what they are getting in him. This ment that the only teams that go after him are teams that want him to shoot alot. A rookie trying to this isn't going to work. If Brandon thinks he is going to come into a league where point guards are no longer like Allen Iverson, creating thier own shot, they are now all trying to take the Jason Kid/John Stocton mold where they are pass first guards with fantastic scorers around them. The transition will be difficult if he is trying to take 20 shots a game. He will never win a championship like that. If you want to argue with me think about Allen Iverson. He will change a frachise if he molds his game after Steve Nash with alot of Chris Paul. He could do it because he is athletic and can learn to shoot. Potential to be deadly. However, potential is a very deadly word.
