It’s seem that fans believe this kid is getting overrated because a few mocks have him going top 5 in next year class. I don’t know why fans are down on him. His physical tools are really impressive at 6’10 and having a huge 7’3 wingspan. I know he’s slight of frame and that he weight just 196 pounds. But, Kevin Durant weight about the same amount coming out of high school and he only weighted in at 215 pounds at the NBA combine. Brandon Ingram got lot’s of time to bulk up. People forget that high school’s don’t have the best weight training programs. He have major skills. He can shoot, can handle the ball, and he’s not afraid to mix it up in the paint. He’s not the quickest player but he’s he can get to the rim. I believe he’s a top 4 prospect coming in next year.

That’s the biggest difference that you left out.   He was in every sense of the word an ELITE scorer.  Even in HS…  Brandon isn’t what KD was, so I think it’s fair for some people to have doubts.

I’m not comparing him to Kevin Durant. I’m putting down the argument that he’s to small and he’s want make it in the league becahse of it.

All I’m saying is there was a difference in talent.  Nbudi Ebi had a similar game to Ingram and body type.  Didn’t make it…  I’m in no way saying that Ingram  will be a bust, just him being weak is an issue.  People are allowed to doubt that.  Kevin Durant’s success w/o decent strength (which he’s much stronger now) is mutually exclusive to his scoring prowess.

I think he will make a decent pro in the league, his arms are long enough where he doesnt have to work as hard on the defensive end and still be productive stopper (this keeps guys like him from wasting energy to contribute on the offensive end where hes most talented) Scouts drool over the physical stats this guy has.. Its all about confidence with him, He tends to play inconsistent at times which is a knock on his overall ranking..

    NBA Comparison: Tayshaun Prince

I hope he goes somewhere he can be the main ball handler. Duke perhaps. Looks like he was playing point guard in high school, and I don’t know why I have never heard anybody say he projects better as a guard (sorry I missed it if you did). He looks slightly shoot first, but his ball handling looks promising and his passing skills look good. Why is he not the next Penny Hardaway type player?

can’t a person ask a question without getting hated on? At least have the balls to respond!

Hard for me to compare any HS player to a player that was an all star around the same time he was born. I think of Bruno Caboclo when I see Ingram which at this point isn’t saying much except that he has amazing talent and potential.

Why would he be the main ball hander at duke? They just got Thornton (arguably the top PG in high school) to reclassify, assuming his SAT scores are good enough. Also Kennard and Allen like the ball in their hands. Chances are, he will be a stretch 4 there. A 170 lb stretch 4…

I watched a lot of Ingram in high school and his handling is good right now. Probably the area he’s improved on the most over the last year, other than his mindset (what he attributes the difference in his game).
