Lotto StudParticipantWhen will Wright produce? He was a 1 & done UNC prospect just like Marvin Williams. I honestly thought that when he had got drafted by Charlotte, that would have been a perfect fit for him @ the time, until he got traded. I know he has been plagued by injuries, but now he has to show & prove himself now, that the Warriors have added Lee & Udoh. Since he has been in the league, he has not shown any effort to adding any bulk to his 6’10 210 lb. frame. I just don’t see him lasting long in the league.

gregoden08ParticipantI think he’ll be in the league for a long time, but I’m not sure if he will be a starter anytime soon. You’re right, he hasn’t added any muscle to his frame. His b-ball IQ is pretty low as well and he tries to do things he can’t do. He’s a really good shot blocker and we all know he has a super quick first step and is very athletic. I don’t think he will ever live up to the hype coming out of UNC, but I think he can be a solid starter down the road.

fastdanParticipantMarvin Williams may have not lived up to the hype of a #2 pick, but he’s a definite contributor to a playoff team. To compare the two is just an insult to Marvin, as Wright has done nothing in this league. The guy will be lucky to get a league minimum after his rookie contract is up, and will probably be out of the league the year after that.

HitsterParticipantMarvin has become a solid player but not a star and got a good 2nd contract but Atlanta still must regret passing on CP and Deron Williams. Whilst Marvin may not become the next superstar SF that many hoped he has and will continue to be a good complimentary starter in a similar role to say Shane Battier and maybe Tayshaun Prince.
Wright needs to get fit and play this year otherwise GSW will surely not renew him or only offer him a one year deal. He has talent but needs to show it on court across 60 plus games a season.

Lotto StudParticipantI’m not comparing the 2 in style of play, just as “1 & DONE” players from a prestigious school. I thought he would be a productive player in the league like Williams that’s all.

durantula83ParticipantThis year will make or break him. Udoh will be out until the end of January so he’ll have the chance to prove himself. All the minutes behind Biedrins and Lee are his for the taking. I just hope he won’t get injured again.
