Danny Ainge has proved that

Danny Ainge has proved that he is not afraid of HUGE trades on draft night. I think the Celtics are trying to improve their team and make another title run next year. The rumors I have seen talk about Boston wanting to trade up to the 5th pick and taking Evans or trading up to the 2nd pick and likely taking Thabeet. If they offer Ray Allen to the Wizards that might be something Washington won't pass up. I'm not sure the Celtics have enough assets to get the 2nd pick. Memphis doesn't need Ray Allen. Maybe if Boston offered Big Baby Davis in a sign and trade to Memphis they could work out some sort of deal. Boston could definitely use Thabeets length in the post. I don't think Tyreke would be a good fit though. I see Evans as a PG personally. Unless they trade Rondo, getting Tyreke is pointless.

Ummmm

I agree with gatorheel because the players that Boston are talking about drafting would be pointless. Both Reke and Rubio are points and with Rondo increasing his value in the league that would be a waste. Ray Allen being traded sounds kind of crazy considering that he had probably one of his best seasons in the last 5 years. I personally think they would like to win the championship with the core players that they have. They showed they can compete with the elite teams in the NBA. They just need to add a few more pieces to complement the players they have.

They would be dumb to trade Big Baby seeing as though they don't have any size anyway. Since Starbury comes off the books they should invest in a legit big man who can spell KG. Their problem is size that's why they lost to the Magic. If they can get a more athletic bench they will be perfectly fine...

I agree trading Big Baby

I agree trading Big Baby would be dumb but I don't think Boston can afford to re-sign him. So if they can sign & trade him they would do that in a heartbeat.

The Rumor is that the Celtics would trade Ray Allen to the Wizards for the 5th pick, Songalia, Mike James, & Etan Thomas. I think that would just be stupid for the Celtics. They get rid of their third best player and in return get 3 guys who won't play hardly at all and the 5th pick. Granted the 5th pick is valuable but who would they pick at #5 to help them out immediately. Maybe the Celtics are thinking that Bill Walker or JR Giddens is ready to step up and replace Ray Allen. Then they could take Thabeet or Hill at #5 to provide some length inside.

I second that....

I can see some team over paying Big Baby. There is always a player that plays really good then gets overpaid by someone who thinks he will produce the same way. Boston doesn't need to waste money like that to over pay Big Baby. In that case they should just draft Jeff Adrien or Pendegraph to play spot up power fowards to shoot long 2's.

And Bill Walker fillling in for Ray Allen they would be crazy. He has no jumper that I can imagine just athletic ability maybe he can replace Tony Allen in the rotation. JR Giddens he has a solid jumper and they took a chance on him last year by making that pick. But trading Ray Allen would be defeating the purpose because whose to say Garnett will be the same. The big 3 would go from that to the Big 1 1/2. But why draft Thabeet or Hill that early to ride the pine? Perkins is solid and KG is KG.... They should make a trade for later first early second and go from there. And sign somebody.
