festar35ParticipantI absolutely love what they have done in the draft with getting Smart and Young, I am excited about watching them going forward. I am unsure where Young’s future, if he is a SG or SF going forward I think he will be a very sound scorer either way.
It does raise the question of what happens with Rondo, any one got any ideas?
What Boston could do with is a defensive anchor at C to put next to Olynyk or Sullinger. With Asik already on the move, Sanders at rehab I am unsure who they would target.
I guess Hibbert is out there, but I don’t like his consistency or attitude, or potentially looking at Kanter or Favors if Utah are willing to part with them.
Either way I am going to enjoy them and have them on my league pass.

Prime TimeParticipantAs a Celtics fan, I like what we did in the draft. I was hoping that Embiid would drop to us. That didn’t happen, but I like the Marcus Smart pick; I feel like he was the best player available at 6. It was nice to see James Young fall to us at 17, I feel like his future is at SG.

Zeke33ParticipantI hope Boston keeps Rondo. I really think Smart is best suited as a 2 guard. I think he is big enough and strong enough to make that transition and I really hope Ainge builds around both of them. Rondo is too valuable. No one like Rondo in the league and I think Boston needs to atleast experiment with what they can do playing both of them together and then make the change if it doesnt work.

For_Never_EverParticipantSince they picked Marcus Smarts looks like a complete rebuild. Why would you want Sanders who is getting into bar fights also failing drug testes and Hibbert the disappearing giant man. I’m not high on the big man duo of the Jazz either.

festar35ParticipantI was putting out that if they could find a solid C who play D, the team may have been able to challenge for play-off spot in the East immediately but they just don’t seem to be available.

festar35ParticipantI have no doubt Samrt can play SG, the problem will become their general lack of outside shooters. I know Rondo has worked on it, but man I don’t see him or Smart becoming knock-down shooters and relying on Olynyk and Young to be your shooters isn’t enough at this point. as one has played a single season and the other just got drafted. (Sullinger isn’t very good from long range)

BallinmvpParticipantI will say rondo, smart, and Bradley will be the best defensive backcourt in the league when it comes to forcing steals and turnovers

For_Never_EverParticipantMy opinion with the pick of Marcus Smart the writing is on the wall that Rondo is out of town and will be traded.

celtics1982ParticipantI think you trade Rondo. I would rather build around a back court of Smart and Bradly, not Rondo and Smart. Now I think can play some shooting guard, but not with Rondo.
As for young I see him a small forward long term, a Tayshaun Prince type player.

CU.LIONSParticipantdidn’t see this thread, but yes I like what Boston did in the draft, but truth be told, like I staed in my thread, smart "can play" some 2, but long term he like the ball in his hands a lot and is better at PG. Boston needs to get something for Rondo before he leaves for nothing. Not sure what’s out there however.
