I have suffered a. Similar injury. Takes a long time to heal. Can Miami come out the east without Bosh?

Bosh is their third option. This isn’t like Derrick Rose or Dwight going down. DWade and LeBron are still two of the best players in the NBA, and can take over that series if they really wanted to. If the Pacers are smart they will live in the post with Hibbert and West if they really want to win this series. I wouldn’t wish injury upon any player, but I kind of smiled when I heard about this. Instead of the Heat steamrolling everyone we might actually see them have to work for the title this year.

Does it benefit them to have a longer series if Boston is next? Give Bosh some extra time off. I am kidding too though you finish the team when you can. Catch 22 though if he is not ready and they get Boston I think they lose. It will matter then.

I think this will be a problem for the Heat. Now it’s Hibbert, West and Hansbrough against Anthony, Haslem and Turiaf.

Great… Now LeBron’s followers have another excuse.

In Cleveland, it was Mike Brown and his supporting cast. It was his elbow… Delonte with his mom. Then last season in Miami, Spoelstra was blamed.

This year, it’ll be because Bosh went down.

In my mind, they should STILL win. You have the best player in the world in LeBron and a top five player in Dwayne Wade. They should be able to plug Halsem in, play LeBron more at the four and still win a title.

Unfortunately it gives Lebron a built in excuse if they falter…but I don’t think they will.

so we’ll see extended minutes of lebron at the four spot guarding west or hansbrough. haslem will likely be getting the bulk of the extra minutes he shows that he’s too undersized for the 7’3" Hibbert.

"Unfortunately it gives Lebron a built in excuse if they falter…but I don’t think they will."

I doubt it, every good team has had a main piece of their team go down this year.

    Mavs- Odom quit

Clippers- Billups hurt early, Caron in the Memphis series

Thunder- Perkins, Maynor went down and yes, that matters

Celtics- Pierce is hurt, Allen is hurt, Bradley is hurt, Pietrus missed some po games, Green, JO, and Wilcox out for year.

Bulls- Drose out for year, Deng broken hand, Noah hurt.

    Magic- Dwight out for year

Knicks- Amare, Lin, Baron, and Shump all out

come on, if anyone gives LeBron an excuse this year for not getting a title then they are just being rediculous. Every team that matters has had terrible injuries in the playoffs except for the Lakers and Spurs, and MWP only got in on th elast game of the series. I honestly think this could make the Heat an even more dangerous team with LeBron playing the PF spot. Have you guys seen LeBron’s stats as a Pf? For 48 minutes he’s averaging 37 points, 8 assists, and 12.5 rebounds. No excuses.

we need mike miller and shane battier to actually make some 3s to make the difference in bosh’s ppg. i really liked how joel anthony played yesterday, im not expecting that though this next game but there definitiely needs to be a big who steps up BIG time.

I agree that the Heat should still get the title without Bosh. But can you imagine the hate that would fall on CBosh if they won it all without him?

He would be tossed out in a matter of seconds.

If LeBron wins a title now he will have EARNED it.

Mike Miller and Shane Battier will have to step up and score more.  Plus rebounding and getting loose balls.

This now makes Mario Chalmers and Udonis Haslem their 3rd and 4th options.  I guess this puts Joel Anthony back into the starting lineup.

They can still win the title even if Bosh is out for the rest of the playoffs, but everyone needs to bring their A game.

NBA MAYhem is alive and well.

I like the Celtics homer bringing up all the obvious injuries, then throwing Pietrus, Jermaine O Neal, and Wilcox, as if any of those players would have payed and significant dividends this postseason.

Just a thought, but plugging in Miller for a few more minutes with LeBron at the 4 could do them well. Will still be tough against a team like San Antonio or the Lakers with size up front, but the speed factor is always on the Heat’s side with Bron and Wade. Still hope Bosh comes back, he was playing really well against Hibbert. Probably done for this series, but I could see him coming back if they make it a tad further. The injury takes time, but I do not know if it shelves him for the year.

Think this gets interesting and possibly in a good way. Yes, Indiana, the Bosh going down thing is a built in excuse, like any team with a major injured player. I don’t really blame Spoelstra for last year, more thought Dallas played brilliantly and LeBron was much to passive, but it is what it is. The thing is, will we see LeBron and Wade play the two man game to a tee like they did in the 2nd half of Game 1?

This could definitely happen and with a more traditional center busting heads, Udonis Haslem getting more minutes at the 4 if they need size and of course LeBron getting some 4 man minutes that tend to go to good use. I am pretty intrigued to see what happens, I am sure LeBron and Wade will both be a lot of fun to watch in this scenario. Shane Battier will get more time as well, obviously, but I am liking a healthy Mike Miller right now. This guy is stroking this season and he can kind of do it all. Not an amazing defender, but he rebounds and when he is on he works incredibly well with LeBron and Wade.

I think everyone expects this team to win, even with Bosh going down. It will be a lot more difficult and rely on many more variables. Guys like Haslem, Miller and Battier will have to take more shots. Mario Chalmers will as well, maybe even a Norris Cole re-emergence in the cards. Was impressed that Joel Anthony showed more offensive acumen than I had seen in quite a while, but do not expect any consistency there. Turiaf was always a glue guy and a solid big body to hit the glass.

It is on LeBron’s shoulders. Dwyane Wade will always put up his points, not worried about that. Just think that LeBron will have to put up even more, probably a consistent 30-35. If he does, with a second scorer like Dwyane Wade, some bigger guards than he had in Cleveland and better defense, winning a title is still obtainable. Bosh makes life a lot easier I believe, but life without him will be interesting and could lead to more of the traditional LeBron of the Cleveland days. Can he and Wade carry this team and more importantly, give the other players the confidence to contribute to a winning team? This is what separates the good from the great, situations just like this. I think LeBron is a great player, but he certainly would absolutely prove it if he stepped up with Bosh on the sidelines.

is all set up for the Celtics now.  Bulls are out and the Heat have no chance without Bosh.

Hibbert will be able to live in the post more, we know this. But there is not one player on the Pacers that measure up to either Wade, nor Lebron. There is no excuse for LeBron should he fail. Its still likely that he ‘won’t’ fail. Chris Bosh is out for the series, not out for the playoffs. (I’m assuming) This means now Lebron and Wade are going on full blast. Even though Bosh’s third option points will be missed, its the playoffs. And the playoffs are all about surprise performances. And unfortunately for the Pacers, no team does it better on both sides of the court.

I’m certainly not his hugest fan, but that would be another big blow to Team USA, having already lost DRose and Howard.
