think bout this one guys... why would the knicks wait til 2010 free agency when bosh not wanting an extension in toronto.
if i we're the knicks i'll try to acquire bosh this upcoming season.
my trade suggestion would be like this: bosh + kapono and/or banks for a sign in trade of lee + q.rich + chandler + the 8th pick of the knicks...
i think this one would be good for both teams cause the knick would only think about LBJ in the 2010 free agency cause they already have BOSH and they are capable of signing him to a max contract extension + LBJ would have much more reason to sign with the NYK in 2010, i like chandler in knicks uniform but i dont think they would keep him cause LBJ would be their SF in 2010 and years to come. while in the toronto they get LEE who could compliment the game of bargnani and they got their much needed wing player in q.rich and chandler + TORONTO got the knicks 8th pick this draft.
i think if this kind of trade could happen the LBJ quest for 2010 would be much more intriguing for the NYK..
tell me what you think bout this idea of mine..
Well, for once a Knick trade proposal that is not crazy unrealistic from the other team's perspective. This is a trade that I think Toronto could find fair. But I don't know, NY would have very little left beyond Bosh. Their lineup would be:
Jeffries on the bench?
That would be a horrible team. Like it might be attractive to have Bosh as a lure for 2010, but for next year (where we don't even have a draft pick), Knicks would probably be the worst team in the league.
Anyway, (maybe luckily) NY can't trade this year's pick, since they have no pick next year.
sorry that i didn't take into consideration the NYK lineup for the 2009 season. But such idea is so intriguing mate. or maybe they should just swap their picks this draft for a change. Or just dont include this year pick in the draft.
well, knicks won't lose anybody if they wanted to get bosh via free agency (it's a sure lock he'll be fielding offers anyway). they'd still have that 8th pick (stephen curry) with them, and a chance to get lebron. bosh, wade, and the rest would be "consolation prizes" of those who don't get lebron. so why give up a good role player in wilson chandler? a fan favorite in david lee?
the raptors are not giving up on bosh at all they will talk him round to re-sign with the team. they have made it clear ! they will never give bosh up so i dont no why people are all... bosh trade.. not going to happen.
If I were donnie walsh, I would not give up any key players yet. rvirsal is right, why trade for him? espeecially a rebuilding team like the knicks. If he signs with another team, there goes valuable players that could've made a difference in 20110 and beyond.
the knicks are terrible he should go play with lbj in cleveland
Wilson Chandler can play the two so he can still with Lebron if Knicks get him and also Bosh is nice but i hope they get Amare and also they need the 8 pick because this draft will surprise people and also there are so many quality free agents that no team that does not have a lot of talent on their team should be worried about gutting it.
am i missing something?? when did new york become an attractive team for free agents?? when is the last time the knicks signed a big free agent? people also mention a few things when it comes to being an attractive spot.... tax = bad / weather = bad / team = terrible...
i'm from toronto and know what it is to have a team that thinks too much of itself ( toronto maple leafs ) and the reality is that the only time lebron is going to go to the knicks is when is on his last legs around 36 or 37 yrs old looking to steal a little money at the end of his career.
