Oh, y'all are making an argument that he'd get 14 ppg on terrible shooting percentages. That wouldn't happen either though.
One, the Raptors wouldn't let Brown get enough shots to shoot poorly from the field to only average 14 ppg.
Two, do you think an NBA team would give him the minutes at the SG spot when they already run a comittee approach, with players that bring his same strengths and weaknesses to the table? Shannon Brown isn't good enough for a team to let him shoot bad from the field, AND throw out their SG-by-committee approach. You guys are overrating Brown's value.

did anybody actually watch sonny weems play this year? He was solid and actual had the starting spot by the end of the year. He is super athletic, can hit the mid range shot and sometimes the 3 and is a very good defender and he is still quite young. Him Derozan are comparable with Weems outplaying him this year.
I don't know why you think I think Shannon Brown is a scrub, but he has played for a few teams in his day. Which qualifies him to be considered a journeyman. I just don't see him as a starter caliber SG, when he's no better than any of the Raptors SG's. I actually think Brown could be a starting POINT GUARD for the Lakers in the future because he is a great fit for the triangle, but I'm not valuing him as a starting SG for any team in the NBA. Especially if your trying to make me believe he has the value of Derozan.
I don't see the Raptors giving up Derozan for Brown, when Derozan easily has more potential, and he's not even someone that they'd have to give up to make the trade work.
What does Shannon Brown do better than Weems though? He's literally the same player, except he's shorter and a slightly better ball-handler. Both score off spot-up shots, transition plays, and the ocassional straight-line slash to the rim. He's not much better than any of the Raptors SG's. You just don't watch anybody but the Lakers play.
Gotta watch more than Lakers games. Let their tips breathe every once in a while.

DeMar DeRozan is 100 times better then Shannon Brown. Some people I talked to said his defense improved so much, he could be a potential shutdown defender.
