delfamParticipantJust want everyone’s opinions, must of you will probably say yes, but I’m going to say no.
-Wade, if he gets a a max he’ll be like 34 or 35 by the end, he also gets banged up a lot and will probably get worn down by the end of the contract. Also, he isn’t a glue guy, he needs the ball in his hand which really hurts the PG and the rest of his teammates. I don’t see him making his teammates much better and creating chemistry.
-Bosh, his ego is to big as he thinks he’s the best. He’s not a good passer and he is skinny and lacks some defense. He doesn’t like to bang down low and would need to be paired with a big bodied center which there is a lack of.
In general I just don’t like how these players mesh with their teammates.

apb540ParticipantI would pay each of these guys over max contracts if I could. Don’t let the ESPN hype lead u to believe that LeBron is the only player in the league worthy of a max contract.

delfamParticipantthere are plenty of guys other than Lebron worth max contracts, I just don’t think It’s Wade or Bosh.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantDude…. Wade is the 3rd best player in the league & Bosh is in the top 10..Sure they’re worth the Max..Look at scrubs like Darko,Frye,Salmons & Gooden getting overpaid..And 2nd option guys like Joe Johnson getting 19 million & Rudy Gay’s 16 million…Some might argue that Johnson isnt much better then Gay…A few years ago Orlando overpaid for Rashard Lewis and now they’re stuck with his deal..A player like Wade brings in people that aren’t fans of basketball..They’re heard so much about him that they tune in just to watch him..Just like there are people who hate Golf but will tune in when Tiger plays..Alot of folks hate Tennis but will tune in when Serena plays…I would place Bosh in the same category as Chris Webber,Dwight Howard,Amare & Nowitzki ,all are great players but all are lacking something that will put them in the same class with guys like Shaq & Tim Duncan…

SpencerIsHawesome2ParticipantYeah, Wade can’t create chemistry and hurts his teammates… A guy like him would never win a championship!!!!!!!

WizardofOzParticipantI do think Wade deserves a max contract, but not Bosh. The only people that deserve max contracts in this free agent class are LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. THATS IT! I think Wade deserves a max contract because he is a top 5 player in the NBA and he has been pretty healthy the past couple of years. He is also a game-changer and the type of player that will lead a team to a championship. Some people even think he is a better overall player than Lebron James, like Skip Bayless.
Chris Bosh does not deserve a max contract because I don’t think he is capable of being the top player on a championship team. I don’t think he can lead a team to championship by being the #1 guy, like he says he wants to be. I think he would need another superstar. And when I have a big man, I want him to be a banger, a real post force. Bosh is not that kind of player.

delfamParticipantI don’t see Bosh being any better than Amare, and Amare isn’t getting a Max so why should Bosh. There practically the same player.
With Wade the roster has to be formed around him, if I was a PG I’d hate playing with Wade cause he always has the ball, but that’s the Heats dilema, making a roster that fits with Wade’s style.

kanyedabestParticipantthis may just be one of the dumbest posts ive seen!!! lol if wade and bosh who are premiere players in this league arent worth max deals then who is??? just kobe and lebron??? like c’mon son…….. i do agree in a sense that wade will be like 34 when his deal is done and he does get banged up lots but if your miami or any other team 4 tht matter u have no choice cause i mean dude is top 3 in the league

Lewieeeee26Participantthat you’re only focusing on the negatives of each player…. of which is only relative to particular styles and systems.
wade and bosh are both amazing players in their own right.
nobody is standing here and saying bosh is the best PF of all time..
but he is definitely top 3 playing in the game right now…. and that means he is a max contract kinda guy.

DaleoParticipanti feel that wade should get almost as much money as lebron should. wade has a championship even though it was with shaq, and he has carried his team to the playoffs. bosh really hasn’t done any of those for the raptors. i’m not saying that he shouldn’t get anything close to them, but to get as much as wade and lebron, well i think that is overpaying.

duhrant35ParticipantWade should get a max contract no matter what. KG’s deal may be killing the Celtics now (I know he didn’t sign it with them but it’s a good example) but they definitely will take his deal now because he brought them a championship. You need someone like Wade on your team to win a championship. There are only a few guys in the league that can be the man on a championship team, as pretty much every title in the last 30 years has had either Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, MJ, Magic, or Bird (Yes, there are some exceptions). So if you define the max contract as someone who can be the best player on a championship team (by a lot, not Paul Pierce or Chauncey Billups), than Wade deserves a max contract.
If you define a max contract by the way the market dicates it, than Bosh is a max guy. He is better than Rashard Lewis, JJ, and Rudy Gay, so in that sense he deserves a max. I think only the top 5-8 guys in the league deserve a max, but that is not how the rest of the league sees it. (Bron, Kobe, Wade, Durant, Paul, Howard, Anthony, maybe Deron Williams)

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantA six year deal takes Wade until he is 34 years old and a thirteen year vet. He’ll probably be close to done at that point, but he will be worth more than max for the first few years. They’ll just have to pay the price in year six. As for Bosh, it is amazing that everyone has forgotten what was said about Pau Gasol before he went to LA. It was the same garbage. He was soft, he had a big ego, he didn’t play defense… It is crap. Team him with LeBron or Wade and it will be the same story. He is a no-brainer max signing.

OllstarParticipantWade at every stage of his contract will be worth it. In the last few years of his contract he can be brought to a team with alot of young talent. His max contract will soon be expiring so teams with great rookies will use his contract as a cap hold. Once their rookies need the max contracts Wade will be comng off the books. Wade will turn into more of a shooter just like Mike. He’s no AI who refuses to change his game. But say you got a 30 million expiring contract on Wade, you’d be a player in the offseason or you could re up your rookie scale contracts with larger contracts. And I guarantee Wade is gonna be well worth the max for atleast another 3 yrs.
