TRC1991ParticipantI think this is should be the thread where each and every one of us on this site posts a bold prediction for the upcoming season
ok here is mine:
After watching the Wizards summer league games, I am going to predict in a bold manner that center JaVale McGee makes a case as a top 3 center in the East along with Dwight and Brook Lopez…I think he outplays Joakim Noah, Andrew Bogut and even Al Horford in ’10-11
my projected stats: 16.7 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 53% FG, 1.8 bpg
Why? He will benefit undeniably from the addition of Wall and his 15 lbs. of added strength will more than likely play a part in his increased production
ok…now its your guys turn…i want BOLD…i want risk-takers
fire away!

omphalosParticipantnah, no way he’ll be top 3. If Arenas stays healthy he won’t be getting enough of the ball with Blatche, Wall and Arenas taking most of the shots.

kanyedabestParticipantya Blatche will be heaving his fair share of shots thats 4sure

Bison 49ParticipantHere is my bold prediction. On-guard!
Ed Davis will be the second most productive PF or C out of this year’s draft. He will boldly demonstrate his offensive prowess, rebound the ball like he just ate a stick of old spice swagger between two pieces of sandpaper for breakfast, break a backboard blocking a shot, and shoot a bold 55% from the field. And to be even more bold, when asked by announcers what it is that motivates him to play so hard, he will not say a word, just lightly bump his chest two times, nod and walk off to the locker room, surpassing Hedo as the boldest interviewee ever in Toronto.
Half truth, half fiction, all Ed.
Statistical projection:
13/7.5/2assists/1.8blks/55%fg
Need some sleep…

SwatLakeCityParticipantMcGee will not be the breakout center. I think that prize is already given to Joakim Noah. I love his defense and his offense has really improved. He loves the game and gets better every time I see him. He will definitly from having another low post presence on Carlos Boozer, more defense from Ronnie Brewer, and the inside will open alot more with Kyle Korver. Second best to breakout, Andrew Bogut(He might have already done it). Love his game.
Top 5 Centers in the East
Dwight Howard
Brooke Lopez
Joakim Noah
Andrew Bogut
Al Horford(this is a reach, but I don’t think McGee goes here)My Bold Predictions(I have two)
1 CJ Miles will break out and everyone will realize what gem Utah got in 2005. Took awhile to develop his game but his play in the playoffs this year really impressed me. He will benefit greatly from seasoned veteran Raja Bell. He will win MIP or 6th man of the year(only if Bell starts over him, which could happen)
2. Al Jefferson will be come an allstar and Utah will make the conference Finals because of him. He will benefit so much from finally having an allstar PG alongside him. He already loves him, and Dwill has already promised to make him an Allstar. He will develop an outside jumper out to 15 feet, and become a very nice pick and roll player. He will even show hints of being better than Booz. In a few years Utah will win a championship because of the youth of Dwill and Big Al. Western Conference watch out, here come the Jazz, get ready to be spellbound by our “music”.0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/18/2010 - 5:09am #356620
RUDEBOY_ParticipantOK..Bold Predictions 2010-2011 Season..

5.John Wall will make the Eastern Conference AllStar Team
6.The Heat will win 73 games0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/18/2010 - 5:16am #356621

FDAPOAndrew Bogut will be the 2nd best center in the NBA…
Wow, I can’t believe some of you think Noah is a better center than Bogut….. Bogut pretty much single handedly made his team a contender until he got injured. Yes, he was way better than Jennings….
If Bogut can stay healthy all year, I don’t think there is a better center except Howard.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/18/2010 - 5:47am #356633
SwatLakeCityParticipantFDAPO, Bogut did not single handedly make his team better. If you remember before Jennings came over, the Bucks were off the map and still ha Bogut. Bogut did benefit a lot from Jennings, but i think the props for single making the Bucks better goes to Jennings. Before him no one considered the Bucks a playoff contender, and Bogut was still there. Don’t get me wrong, I love Bogut and I like his game. Actually, between him and Noah it is actually very close. I give the props to Noah because of his team and their ability to make the playoffs consistently as a 7 or 8th seed. The Bucks just recently came on the map. In a few years those center ratings I posted will change.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantMcGee probably could be a top 10 center in the East but not 3rd best.
1. Dwight Howard
2. Andrew Bogut
3. Al Horford
4. Brook Lopez
5. Joakim Noah
6. Andrea Bargnani
7. Kendrick Perkins
8. JaVale McGee
9. Jermaine O’Neal
10. Roy Hibbert0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/18/2010 - 6:21am #356646
SteroidParticipantDwight Howard has a breakout year on offense scoring 24ppg and his team is the first seed in the Eastern Playoffs and he wins the MVP.

BiggysmallsParticipantwizofoz…lol. u get those ideas from somewhere?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 07/18/2010 - 7:38am #356682
omphalosParticipantI find it amusing that this thread is entitled “bold predictions” but people are still so quick to fire off those negative points.
Also, Horford isn’t even a true C. He should be playing the PF position. My bold prediction is that Shaq goes to ATL, Horford slides to the 4, Smith to the 3, and the Hawks vastly improve.

sheltwon3ParticipantTaylor despite me disagreeing with your prediction because it could happen just not next year but it is possible because McGee is on those guys level and has more raw potential. I love your idea
You guys already know my predictions which are based on stats and also watching the players and other stuff basketball related.
