Let's make some bold predictions for this upcoming season. I am going to go on a limp and say these crazy things:
- JaVale McGee will be an allstar this season
- Oden and Bynum will be #1 and #2 centers respectively in East
- Gordan Hayward will make the "Paul George" ascention
- Tyreke Evans is actually good again
umm pretty sure saying oden and bynum will play at the same time is crazy enough
This all pretty bold. I agree with two of them.
You are going to "go out on a limp" and so will Oden and Bynum ;)
Those are all incredibly bold.
Here are a couple of mine
The Nets underwhelm due to old legs and a new coach ( I predict a slow start and finish 6th)
The Hawks stay relevant and maintain a playoff spot at the bottom of the east
John Wall takes the leap this year and becomes elite.
Bledsoe struggles as a lead guard in Phoenix
The Pelicans sneak into the playoffs in the West
The Bobcats tank (even if they aren't trying to) and win the Lottery selecting Wiggins or whomever comes out on top (Randle, Parker or someone else!)
These aren't very bold for the most part.
Tony Wroten beats out MCW for the starting spot by the end of the year.
Tony Wroten and MCW both shoot under 40% from the field and turn the ball over at an alarming pace...I guess that isn't much of a bold prediction?
One guy was just taken outside the top 10 a few months ago while the other was a guy who played under 300 minutes all last season and was just traded for a 2nd rounder for cap relief.
Javale McGee may have an all-star worthy season but he won't make the all star game next year. Dwight Howard is a lock
and Marc Gasol will probably go to. There are still other big men out West too like Dirk and Duncan.
Oden and Bynum will be serviceable but not better than Roy Hibbert, Joakim Noah, and Brook Lopez. Bynum probably won't even be better than Andy V. I also think that Birdman will give Oden a run for his money in Miami.
I like the idea of Gordon Hayward having a breakout year. I agree with you on that. But I don't see the Jazz making the playoffs so its hard to say
how that would make Hayward like Paul George. Lots of the PG hype is from the Pacers making some good playoff runs.
Bold prediction - 1 trade idea posted in the forum will actually happen.
With only Tyreke
What's the point of negging people making bold predictions, who are saying they are bold themselves?
All that does is makes other people not want to make their own bold predictions and right now the forum is so boring, that we could probably have some fun just reading and making bold predictions.
Michael Beasley leaves the league and wins the EuroLeague MVP with Olympiakos and EuroBaller rides off into the sunset with him, never to be seen on the forum again.
Indiana will be the EC reg. season champs.
Houston will be WC's.
Lakers will make the playoffs.
Jeff Green will be MIP,posting 20+ ppg , 7+ rpg.
Brandon Jennings will be way more efficient and will become a top 5 EC pg.
Brooklyn will sweep NY Knick in the fisrt round.
Paul George will become Reg. season MVP.
Eric Bledsoe will struggle and will ebd up as a backup to Dragic eventually.
OKC will struggle all season finishing no better than 4th or 5th seed.
Derrick Rose will be in MVP consideration
Pelicans will be 6-8 seed in the west and make playoffs.
- The Blazers trade LaMarcus Aldridge to the Thunder for Serge Ibaka, Perry Jones and Daniel Orton.
- Andrew Bynum finishes the season healthy, but without playing on the second night of back to backs for majority of the season.
- Eric Gordon plays all 82 games and is an All-Star.
- Reggie Jackson wins 6th Man of the Year.
- Derrick Rose makes All NBA First Team.
- Stephen Curry leads NBA in scoring.
it'd be a suicidal trade for OKC, who's gonna play D ???
Lamarcus Aldridge isn't the shot blocker that Serge Ibaka is, but he's better defending his man and he's where he's supposed to be. Aldridge is quicker and actually makes his rotations consistently. Ibaka is an overrated defender. I guess you haven't watched OKC's front court getting worked consistently when games matter.
IF OKC were to get Aldridge, they'd be the favorites to win the NBA championship.
I haven't watched many OKC games, I live in Europe and it's hard to stay all night watching games. I just know that Ibaka is famous for his defence (shot-blocking primarly) and LaMarcus is a scoring PF, so I'll have to believe you as you express some good points.
I Predict Fans in Philly will Need PROTECTIVE GEAR from all of the ''BRICKS''' ,when the 76'ers play Micheal Carter Williams,Tony Wroten and Evan Turner on the court at the same time!!!!!
Ricky Rubio gets a jump shot
The Wolves sang the 5th seed in the West
Rudy Gobert will get posterized by a guard. You heard it here first.
KD wins a ring
C.J. McCollum wins rookie of the year.
Cavs finish 5th in East and advances to 2nd round playoff
Miami fails to 3peat.
Pacers gets 2nd seed in the east
