I think the Bucks will take Dante Exum as their pick. Tge reason i say that is because it would fit better than wiggins or parker.

    Pg. Brandon Knight

    Sg. Dante Exum

    Sf. Greek freek

    Pf . Eran illisova

    C. Larry sanders

Why do you think exum would be a better fit than those two? Bucks could use a instant scorer in Parker or another athletic free aj in wiggins and have  dynamite wings. I feel exum will be good just not as good as those too. However if they really wanted exum then like the previous poster said, try and trade with the magic.

For some reason, I’ve always thought Exum would fit perfectly with the Bucks. Everything I’ve read about them, they really like Knight as their pg of the future. If so, being that he isn’t a traditional pg, then Exum would be a perfect backcourt mate. In addition to that, I just love the Exum/Greek Freek combo. Yes we love Wiggins and Parker, but as fans, we got to see them play. A lot of Exum’s doubt are due to the fact he is an enigma bc we just don’t know. I tell you what though, teams will get a great look at the kid during workouts. And I know workouts aren’t the real game, but not too many foolish GMs out there would pass on Wiggins/Parker for Exum unless they truly believed in him. If everything we’ve read about the kid is true, then he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Wiggins and Parker.

Also consider fit- Exum fits this team much better than Wiggins or Parker, as the team stands today. Wiggins and Parker are both SFs. Wiggins is not a sg, not Parker a pf. Can they develop into ones, ya, everyone enters the league with potential, but imo it’s a longshot. If Exum exhibits elite potential, then I’m all for Milwaukee taking him ahead of Wiggins and Parker.

I posted a bucks trade like that too.  Something like trade the 2nd pick to the Magic for the 4th pick, Moe Harkless, Jason Maxiell, Doron Lamb, cash, and a future second round pick.

Why would they draft a player who has come out and said the teams that he would prefer to play for, the Bucks not being one of them.  And a player who has state multiple times that despite his size he has and will always want to play PG.  Not a good way to start out with your number 2 pick telling him that he isn’t going to get to play the position he has played his whole life.

Go back over the last 10 years and find me an international prospect that’s actually wowed at the NBA level. Aside from Rubio’s flashy ball handling skills, and Bargnani’s inability to rebound, there isn’t one guy that has come from overseas that has truly impacted the game or his team for the better. Jonas Valanciunas and Giannis Antetokounmpo have the most promise to offer, but for every decent intl guy drafted, there are about three or four Jan Vesely’s/Bismack Biyombo’s drafted.

The Bucks got lucky with the Greek Freak last year, but he still has a lot of rough edges. I’m sure Milwaukee’s brain trust would like to avoid another Yi Jianlian (6th overall, 2007 Draft) as much as they possibly could.

I just think that the bucks would be making a terrible decision if they are more worried about fit than BPA.

I do think there’s a chance Exum can be picked at #2 and I think that for a different reason than the one you suggested. A Knight-Exum backcourt is a 2 PG system like Phoenix where either player is interchangeable. In that sense, he can bring something to the table that Wiggins and Parker can’t. I personally think sticking Wiggins at the 2 is the ideal situation for Milwaukee as there would be nobody out of position, but they might not get that chance. I think with Parker or Embiid you would be putting some of your core players (Sanders, Giannis/Parker) out of position which isn’t ideal. Although I like the idea of a 2 PG system with Exum and Knight, him wanting to play in Milwaukee would be a concern.

I don’t see a whole lot of guys on the Bucks that should really stop the Bucks from taking the best available player.

Wiggins specifically (if he’s not taken by CLE) will be a SG, at least for a while.

I find it hilarious that people keep saying Exum won’t go here or there like its a major issue; like the one where he only wants to go to the Lakers blah blah blah (most likely a rumour spread by the Lakers). If he’s actually saying these things (I don’t think so) he needs to shut up and play where he’s picked and be happy. He’s not going to get any respect in any nba locker room if he goes all ‘steve Francis in year 1

Why draft Exum when you can pick Wiggins or Parker ? Why some people think Giannis and another SF can’t play together ? Draft THE BEST and ‘then’ find the chemistry in your team. Bucks problem is too long term & overpayed players ( Pachulia !) . Bucks can TRADE Ilyasova x a young SG ( i.m.o. their PG now is B.Knight…)

Appreciate when people go out on a limb but if they really want Exum they have to trade down.  There is just no downside – they pick up assets and get Exum.  And if someone else wants to take a chance on Exum then they pick up assets to wind up with Parker or Wiggins and look brilliant.
