aamir543ParticipantWow, not only has Michael Jordan proven to be a lousy GM, but also a bad and desperate buisnessman. I was watching PTI, and they were saying that today, the Bobcats proposed a promotion to their fans where if they guy season tickets for this season, they’ll get season tickets for next season FREE! He may be the greatest Basketball player of all time, but this just isn’t working out, I mean a whole season’ worth of season tickets FREE?! Where are they getting revenue from? How are they going to make any money off tickets now? Just pathetic, you’re better than this MJ. Poor MKG, he’ll be thrown in with this excuse of an NBA roster the Bobcats have. I hope they get lucky sooner or later and get a franchise guy, I really do, because it was hard to watch them that last night of the season on National Television.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI mean, who really wants to buy season tickets for the Bobcats? The increase in season ticket sales this season due to this promotion will probably end up brining in more revenue than a normal two years worth of season ticket sales. That’s probably why he’s doing this promotion.
It’s that bad for MJ’s Bobcats right now.

phila9012Participantyou know you are bad when you only have to pay $537 to go to 82 NBA games, that is $6.55 a game. This is for real, only for the upper deck though, but still NBDL games cost more than that to go to. This is a real NBA team trying to do this, this is really sad. The worst part about is that if you try to sell them on a place like stubhub you will probably lose money. The Bobcats are a mess, give the team back to seattle, at least they support their team. (please don’t neg me bobcats fans, you team sucks really bad and if it takes a $6.50 ticket to get you to go there you don’t deserve a team).

Aran SmithKeymasterIt’s actually smarter than offering the tickets at half off, which is essentially what they’re doing only they’re selling 2 years worth. There does not appear to be a savior on the immediate draft horizon either so not like next year will be any better…. Maybe he plans on selling the team after the first year?

aamir543ParticipantPhila9012 put the numbers in perspective, and it may the nosebleeds, but on a Tuesday night game in the middle of Janruay against the Wizards, I’m pretty sure that you’d be able to find plenty empty lower level seats, and that’d probably be the case for at least half the games.
And if you ask me their just better off selling all of their upper level tickets for 11 dollars or somthing, and having a promotion like that. The demand or public interest in such a deal may not be as great but even if you garner 75% of the audience you would’ve in the 2 for 1 deal, you’d still have earned more money.
