So the Blazers are sort of in a rebuilding process after misfortune shook the franchise and I think they have a real opportunity to rebuild here in this years draft. If they could somehow get Drummond & Lillard, I think they could really be heading in the right direction.

The Warriors don’t like where they are at in the draft… No secret. Drummond could fall right into the blazers lap at 6, but no way Lillard is getting past New Orleans at 10.

I’m sure the Blazers could think of some package deal to swap the 7th with the 11th. If the Warriors aren’t going to get Deng, I don’t see why this wouldn’t work. The Warriors can draft 11th & still get whoever they want (Ross, Either Jones).

Houston could screw the whole thing up by trading to get into that fifth spot and grabbing Drummond, but I really think the Blazers have potential to take a huge step toward the future in this draft.

Drummond & Lillard both have potential to be elite.

I think there is a chance that the Hornets pass on Lillard at 10. If it’s true that they’re determined to get another big man at 10 they could quite likely pass on Lillard. It’s harder to get a solid big man than it is to get a solid guard. I don’t know how it will turn out when the time comes but I think there is a good chance they pass on Lillard.

Drummond might be gone at 6, but Lillard will definitely be gone at 11. I can’t see the Hornets passing on him at 10. There is a good chance they get one of them, but they aren’t getting both.

It is highly unlikely that they will be able to get both.  Very well possible that both will be around at 6.  Lillard is a special guy who will do big things where he lands.  Being from Conn., I witnessed a lack of effort from Drummond at Uconn last year. I’m sure NBA scouts have also picked up on this, but the upside on Drummond is huge.

I think best bet for Portland is to take Lillard at 6 and try to grab Meyers Leonard or Tyler Zeller at 11.  Both are solid big men with a lot of talent, and at least one of them should be available.

Portland most probably will take Lillard at #6 as they seem to be in love with him. But then what ? They still need a defensive C. They might go for the likes of Camby or Asik. And with the #11 pick ? I’d go for Waiters if he’s still there and play him as the 6th man, instant offense from the bench. If’he’s not there, I’d take BPA.
