Blake Griffin is crushing the Knicks
Good thing the Clips are the least disciplined, most inexperienced team in the league. They make Sac town look poised.
Griffin has 30 and 11 with 3 left in the 3rd.
Spin move on a fast break and crushes it again.......
although i agree that griffen is tearing apart the knicks... raymond felton is RIPPING the clips... 7 steals already... he could have a triple double with pts ast and stl...
39-13-7. Wow
As he did, with 7 steals. Gallinari has been playing great as of late. 31 points on 11 shots. 13-13 from the line.
I'm salty lol... How come Griffin didn't play like this vs the Pacers on Thu? I skipped work to go to the game and he was disappointing. The game was super boring.
Damn, Kemp was a sick dude. Notice that four of those dunks were on my beloved Warriors, three of them from the same playoff series I believe. The Rattlin Gatlin and the Lister Blister just broke my spirit.... Warriors just never had anyone who could check this guy.
Regarding Griffin, I can't even compare this guy to anybody I can remember. Definitely a freak athlete.
Lmao at Kemp's #1 dunk. He'd have gotten a technical in today's game for that lol. It's a damn shame he got addicted to that white.
I don't know if Griffin jumps higher and he isn't as long as Kemp, but he seems like a more powerful and just forceful athlete.
What amazes me the most about Griffin is his body control and dexterity. He looks like a guard contorting his body for rebounds, driving to the basket, adjusting his layups. He's a spectacular player. I'm firmly in the Blake for RotY camp.
There are too many athletes that let that damn white girl ruin their lives. Spendin' all their money on that &$#%#&@!. My personal saddest is Darryl Strawberry/Doc Gooden. You saw their first 5 years, you would have thought itd be impossible for them not to make the HoF.
Not just Mozgov getting posterized but the dunk that Griffin climbed his chest was a very soft play by Mozgov. Griffin being guarded by Mozgov was a big mismatch, he has no shot esp. the way he fouls all the time.
This game was very entertaining even though not much defense in this one Amare had 39 and Gallo, Gordon had big games too. Knicks need to knock down these guys down in the paint definately. Griffin's quick spin move was awesome reminded Walt Frasier of Olajuwon. Most pts by a rookie since Rick Barry. Amare did have a pretty nice blow by and dunk on Griffin too. Knicks are a pretty good road team at 5-4 rite now. Clips played well but turnovers killed them. 1st bad game by Fields it seemed, he was off maybe becaz he had family in the stands who knows.
D'antoni might need to play Anthony Randolph some he's lost on offense but he can rebound and block shots. Still a 3-1 West Coast trip with 4 games in 5 nights the schedule is brutal for the Knicks this year.
Not really becaz Amare wasn't guarding Griffin that much, mostly it was Mozgov and Turiaf. Griffin and Amare both didn't guard each other a lot probably to stay away from foul trouble. Yeah the Knicks probably overpaid for Amare but they had to after clearing all that cap space they weren't going to keep the cap room esp. after that trade with Houston. Amare isn't a stud on D but his rebounding is getting better, the Knicks main problem is they have a no depth at PF/C. They have improved their shot blocking as a team but still have a ways to go. I"m just happy they have some decent young players finally and aren't a pushover. Mozgov is a rookie and playing like one, Randolph seems lost at times and needs mins definately. They don't really have anyone outside of Turiaf and Amare, Chandler at the 4 only works against small players.
Just watched those highlights... wow, Griffin is NASTY. Blake matched STAT with 16-24 shooting, but the extra five points where made at the FT line, which is always nice. Clips need to figure out how to start winning games, because a statline like that isn't done justice on a losing team.
Blake Griffin has been the bright spot for this Clippers team... But this season has been totally bad... 1-13 in the standings with talents like Eric Gordon and Blake???? I really have no idea what's their problem...
Blake is a beast and he may be able to take Wall for ROY but Wall will probally put up good number and his team will win more games so he gets the slight but Blake is making it hard though.
I know the Clippers problem. They're young and inexperienced. They don't know how to play disciplined, they don't know how to not bite on pump fakes, they're late on rotations, and everyone outside of Blake and Gordon has trouble scoring consistently. They cant defend the three point line or the post. Thats what happens when your best two players are 21. They will be much better in the future, but for now, they have a lot to learn at the NBA level.
Prob is they don't have good team talent. Good individual talent though. Blake and gordans numbers don't equal wins. They don't do the key things like get stops at key moments or score at key times to get wins. Okc top two players at 21 had the thunder in the playoffs last year because they played great team ball as well as individually. These are things I said before the season when some were saying this clipper team is playoff bound. When kahman and baron comes back they will be better but they will still be one of the worst teams in the NBA
vinny isn't to blame. He got the bulls to the playoffs two out of three years didn't he? The clippers have been bad for centuries :) , with many different coachs. Time to start blaming the players who actually play the games. Coachs don't cause a team to get blown out. Watching the games you can see the clippers aren't executing and not playing good defense (effort) making bad passes taking bad shots.
Stop...Vinny Del Negro is a TERRIBLE coach. He got them into the playoffs with Derrick Rose playing out of his mind in year 1 near the end, Then he needed Toronto to flame out in year 2
How could you blame the players when the Clippers have made dozens of player changes? That makes ZERO sense.
Makes perfect sense because the players have no performed. Coachs are more to blame when the teams lose by a couple of points not blow outs. How u gonna blame a coach when the players are throwing dumb passes and have bad defensive IQ? Each coach keeps having the same losing problem. So I guess that means each coach is bad?
So the bulls won because rose played out of his mind but the clippers are losing because of vinny? What sense does that make. You're saying if vinny wins it's not because of his coaching it's because of how good a player is playing. Rose didn't play out of his mind he played at a allstar level. Big difference. Kobe plays out of his mind and so did Jordan so does that make Phil a overrated coach? The clippers were one of the worst teams last year and now they ate playing without there all star center and they are still bad so how exactly is that vinnys fault??? The reality is the players just aren't good as a team. Have you watched the games? Have you watched the bad defense or the players going one on one taking bad shots when vinny is calling out a play? The bad passes? The HORRIBLE chemistry? Sorry but the players are just as much to blame as the coach. You don't go 1-13 and think the players have nothing to do with it. It's the coach AND the players(mostly players) if you really wanna place blame. Some don't wanna blame the players because they like Eric gordan and Blake griffin and ignore the mistakes they both make or ignore the fact that neither is a real first option or the fact that there numbers don't lead to wins. There is no leader on the floor. There's no takeover guy right now. And the players make dumb mistakes. These are obvious things when watching them play
No it doesn't. You said the Clippers have lost for decades because of thier players. You make it sound like the Clips have had the same players for 20 years when you know it's not the case. They made dozens and dozens of different roster changes throughout the years. The Clippers have had players who were good and players who were bad, let's not ALL blame it on them.
Also, Del Negro is not a good coach. He got his team to the playoffs but he's not good. He's not even a average head coach. He doesn't run a great offense (AT ALL) nor does he call solid plays or anything. He's not a tough coach either, he's pretty much a marshmallow with a suit on. For a young team, you need a tough coach, like a Sam Mitchell. You can go ask dozen of Chicago people, who went to games and saw how terrible he coaches. I'm not making excuses for this Clippers team ( I picked them 9th in the West) but Del Negro does recieve tons of blame, he's a terrible coach.
I've seen the Clippers play alot this season actually.
Mr Knick..........But the point is the have had low iq or no effort players, Darius Miles, Q-Rich, B-Diddy, Kaman, Kandy Man just to name few you cant win with offense and no chemistry or defense
Not all the blame but they deserve more then the coach because they play the game. Obviously with all the good/bad players they have had they didn't pick the right combination of players. And since you watch the games you can clearly see the players aren't that good as a team and make many dumb mistakes especially in the 4th quarter. The clippers have had a bunch of different coachs that ran a bunch of different offensive sets that don't work. There main players have been there for 3 seasons or more( other then Blake). With two different coachs with two different styles yet they still have been bad. That right there should let you know the players they have just don't seem to fit together. I blame a coach more when teams lose by a small margin because the play the coach drew up didn't work but not when a team gets hammered because the players are making dumb mistakes or playing bad defense( effort)
Mr Knick..........But the point is the have had low iq or no effort players, Darius Miles, Q-Rich, B-Diddy, Kaman, Kandy Man just to name few you cant win with offense and no chemistry or defense
Wiz, I agree with you there but they also lost plenty of games with players like Andre Miller and Elton Brand at the helm. Like I said, it's the owner as well. We have to factor in that this team hasn't had a good coach since Larry Brown.
I agree they have had good players but like you said it falls on the owner the good players vs bad players ratio heavily favors bad players in the clippers history
Injuries and inexperienced young players don't help the situation.
They need to play better defense, stop fouling so much and limit their turnovers most of that was off last night's game. They bit on Gallo's fakes like crazy last nite, granted it other teams have too but it was bad. Also they need better play at PG and Center. Once Kaman gets back they should win some games, they might've gave away too many bigs the last few yrs with Zebo and Camby.

He's absolutely unstoppable within 10 feet because he can dunk from that far out. He's so quick and strong and explosive. Hes a top 5 athlete in the NBA. Im not saying he jumps higher or is faster than a lot of those freak point guards. But I dont think I've seen a 6'10 guy that strong, that fast, and that explosive. Hes like Kemp with 20 pounds of muscle already. Him or Lebron are my most jaw dropping athletes in the league today. Griffin is going to become unstoppable. 25-12 one of the years soon.
