Lotto StudParticipantNo comparison, Young plays off the ball.

RedDead93ParticipantWho goes before the other and why? Also does either go to the 2nd rnd?

FastAndFuriousParticipantYea, its hard to compare them.
Now if your asking in a way as to who is the better prospect, or who would I draft first if my team needed a point or a combo then I would possibly take BJ Young just because he’s bigger and can shoot some.
But if your asking us who goes first between the two as a team drafting a PG then it’s hard to answer because BJ isn’t a PG he’s a SG that can possibly play some 1.

Forte IVParticipantYoung doesn’t play off the ball. I watched a handful of Arkansas games this year and he had the ball in his hands a lot. I’m talking about bringing up the ball etc.

Lotto StudParticipantGuess I have to go in depth. Even if he brings the ball up in college he’s not a NBA PG. Young is a combo who can play some 1 but he’s better suited as a 2 in the NBA where he’ll be more effective. You cannot compare the two players at all.

FastAndFuriousParticipantExactly at what Cheyenne said, teams aren’t scouting BJ Young the way they’re scouting Myck, two different types of players.

SiggyParticipantYoung does play on the ball a lot. I’d rather take the guy with better playmaking ability and intangibles. Kabongo has the type of game that makes those around him better, while Young looks like he could be a Lou Will type scorer off the bench. Both can bring value to a team, but I prefer the former.

KHAM83ParticipantAssuming Myck comes out, they are both currently projected 2nd rounders. However, there are teams at the end of the 1st round that may be looking to add a pg prospect, ie. Utah, Indy, NY, Clips (if they deal Bledsoe).

Meditated StatesParticipantIs the late 1st round sleeper. After workouts he will be higher I suspect.

Forte IVParticipantI’d rather the Clippers go after Isiah Austin or another center rather then going after a guard
