Birdman suspended for game 6
This is a game changer IMO. Going to be really tough for Miami to close this out in Indiana without Birdman's size off the bench. I hope this series goes to game 7, could be a classic.
good for Miami, Joel Anthony will make it more difficult for Hibbert.
lol that is preposterous. Now the Heat have even more to worry about during that game. If Bosh and Wade continue their dissapearing act, look for this to go to a game seven and back to Miami. However I can't help feeling that the Heat will close it out, I wouldn't put money on it though lol.
I don't know why, but there's something about LeBron on the road in game 6 of the ECF's that scares me....
no, Indiana is too naive team for this round, could saw last game how they should have double digit lead after first half but instead miss out a lot opportunities and go to half time almost even... Miami also play great defense, especially Wade and have great intensity, they closing it out!
Him and Haslem have literally been the 2nd and 3rd most important players for the Heat in this series. This definitely hurts them, to a degree.
The NBA is getting so soft, by todays standards yes he should be suspended but it's crazy to think Kevin McHale only get a personal foul for close-lining Kurt Rambis. I'm flying to Seattle on Monday so Anderson being suspended could lead to a game 7 which would then change what I'm doing in Seattle that night.
Well that makes a difference. I kind of feel like U Haslem can't keep this hot streak of shooting up. Let's say he goes cold and shoots 2 for 10 instead of 8 for 9. You are talking about the Heat scoring 12 fewer points. I know the Heat D has been great, but that would make things a lot tighter.
Or Lebron could drop 40, have a triple double and it will all be a moot point.
How he didn't get tossed from game 5 after the refs looked at the play is baffling. And then on top of that, Hansbrough gets a technical as well for doing absolutely nothing. That was some questionable reffing right there, but I've come to expect that any time I watch an NBA game.
Agreed, Birdman certainly should've been tossed from game 5. He totally flipped over what looked to be a push in the back and his push cemented the suspension
^^^The two Crawfords and Scott Foster continue to ref big games, despite making an unbelievable amount of judgmental and non-logical calls. Oh, and no consistency in the way they T people up.
also the critical four foul on George Hill was clearly a blocking foul imo.
in my humble opinion, i think kobyz has a point to a certain extent with playing joel anthony. joel might not be as atheltic as birdman, and definitely not a good finisher or offensive player, however i believe his size will still be valuable against roy hibbert. he can push hibbert out of the paint better then i think birdman could.
WILL close out game 6 you heard it here first. and I WOULD put money on it.
I wrote a post that he would be suspended, but I forgot to mention that it would've been more as a makeup call for not ejecting him in Game 5. I couldn't believe they didn't toss him after his shoulder bump and shove.
Regardless, quite the loss for Miami. Tomorrow should show how important his impact has been. That, or Bosh plays the best game of his life.
The NBA wants it to go 7 but wants Miami to win. Thats why in a tight game in Miami they let Birdman stay on the court but then hand the advantage to the Pacers in Game 6 hoping they . I feel like if that same play had happened in Game 6 in Indiana then Birdman gets thrown out. I cant stand NBA officiating there is no consistency in the calls. Like Moving screens they let like 20 go a game but then the same play u see 20 times go uncalled they call in a critical moment its maddening
Doesn't need to play the game of his life, he needs to play like the player they signed....he made a couple threes and fell in love with it and became a spot up shooter and forgot about his finesse post game
Maybe LeBron then needs to play the game of his life.
I'm not a fan of him trying to post up on Hibbert. He's just too big. What Bosh should do and has done is use his face up game 15-20 feet out and take Hibbert (or West) off the dribble.
why didnt they just kick him from game 5? he did the same thing nazr mohammed did to lebron damn near, and him and psycho t got a double tech. and hansbrough didnt even do nothin....this is a potential series changer
They do have shotblocker Jarvis Varnado on the roster. I know he hasn't played in the playoffs, he was a non-factor in the regular season, and he may not even be traveling with the team. Any chance they pull him out for an emergency?
Probably a ridiculous proposition, but it would make sense to me were it feasible.
