redone1ParticipantBill Walton knows who Andrew Luck is. He doesn’t say anything cause Luck went to a rival school of Walton. That blog is pretty terrible

Chilbert arenasParticipantSay what you will, Bill Walton is easily my favorite analyst in all of sports. Half the time he doesn’t know what he’s talking about but every game is pure poetry.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantBill’s my favorite, too. I wish he would get more air time. I believe he only calls Pac-12 games on ESPN but I’m excited whenever he does. There’s no analyst as articulate and charismatic as Bill Walton.

BajeebzParticipantThanks for reminding me of Bill’s brilliance. I’ve spent the last few minutes laughing at his quotes.
“Robert Sarver had the vision to somehow acquire Boris Diaw. And when you look at Boris Diaw and what he’s done to this franchise he’s changed everything. We celebrate his brilliance and when you talk to Boris Diaw you realize what a classical human being he is. It was 201 years ago today, Beethoven@s Symphony No. 3 in Eflat, which escorted in the age of Romanticism in music. And when I think of Boris Diaw, I think of Beethoven and the age of the Romantics. This guy has it all.”

ChrispyParticipantWhen I first moved to LA in the late 90’s Bill was my favorite. "Olowokandi with the slam. Throw it down big man, throw it down! The crowd is literally surging toward the court!! Kareem, move over!!"

juves4783Participant“Memo to Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker: Couldn’t you wait until at least the All-Star break to have the franchise suffer its worse loss in its storied history? Bill Russell just called looking for an address to send his 11 championship rings back to the Celtics because he is so disappointed.”
“You look at Vladimir Radmanovic, this guy is cut from stone. As if Michelangelo was reading and a lightning bolt flashed before him.”
“Tonight the Spurs look to extend their lead to 3-0 over the Lakers. This time, however, they will have to do it on the Lakers’ home court. Duncan and Shaq have been magnificent for both teams, but so far the edge has gone to San Antonio. However, the real story line that awaits us tonight in Los Angeles is whether or not Kobe Bryant will actually throw a pass!”
Exchange between Bill and Tom Hammond: “John Stockton is one of the true marvels, not just of basketball, or in America, but in the history of Western Civilization!” Tom: “Wow, that’s a pretty strong statement. I guess I don’t have a good handle on world history.” Bill: “Well Tom, that’s because you didn’t go to UCLA.”
“Yesterday we celebrated Sir Isaac Newton’s discovery of gravity, today, Fabricio Oberto is defying it.”

samosasParticipantSad to say, but these older folks make for awful announcers. Except for Hubie Brown, he’s pretty legit.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantAfter seeing what he said in the Fab Five doc, I have no respect for Bill Walton. It was an old interview and he was blatantly racist towards those guys.

McDunkinI love bill on the mic…he does get miles off topic sometime but I love it…just don’t get him started on the the gratefull dead. Here are some funny lines I posted years ago from a suns/kings game he was doing.
"That was the fifth worst possession in the history of Phoenix Suns basketball. And who would have thought we’d see two of the six worst in the same game?"
About Scola:
"So skilled. So poised. The Championship Demeanor."
"One of the most beautiful players I’ve ever watched."
"I would walk about the house just screaming his name. My wife would be like, ‘What are you doing?’"
"einstein..davinci…jobs…and now… tyreke evans"

jaycee24ParticipantIf you’ve never heard George Blaha say “count that baby and a foul!” you don’t truly know Piston basketball
