BIGGEST BUST IN THE 04' DRAFT
shaun livingston- was showing promise before the knee injury so what are basing him being a bust in rafael arujao- never heard of dude and he got drafted before alot of good players
luke jackson- was hyped and i never liked his game he only could go left and he is know playing in italy
Robert swift- is the biggest considering the fact he was drafter before al jefferson a great big men and he hasnt done nothing to show why.
llperez u do got a point let me retract my statemetn arujao is the biggest bust u can say alot of people just look at he lottery in 04 and see guys get drafted before josh smith,jr smith, delonte west, jameer nelson, tony allen, kevin martin,al jefferson
I'm going with Rafael Araújo because he was picked highest out of all the people y'all just named. And he was picked over so many good players like Iggy, Big Al, Josh Smith. J.R. Smith, etc. I not going to say Shaun Livingston because he showed a lot of promise before he got injured and he is playing pretty well with the Wizards right now.
i mean it was a questionable pick when he was selected. he was a senior bigman in a weaker conference and wasnt on many peoples lottery radar. even david stern never heard of him when he announced the selection. with swift and telfair, they were high school guys with perceived potential. swift never did anything in the league, but araujo was selected higher and therefore a bigger bust.
Are you saying he isnt in the NBA? obviously you arent paying much attention. He played extremly well for the Wizards averaging around 15 points and 6 assists in the final month of the season. With his play last year he will most likely get a decent contract this summer.
Luke Jackson isn't the biggest bust, but hes probably the 'biggest impact bust', if you know what i mean by that...
Can u imagine if Cleveland would of gotten that pick '"right" ?
Cleveland situation would of been a hell of a lot different if they took Al Jefferson, Josh Smith, Jameer Nelson, hell, even JR Smith....or if Iguodala slid 1 more spot...
bvalliere, if you are reffering to me, i didnt say livingston wasnt in the nba. And while he did have a strong finish on a terrible team, are you honestly gonna act surprised that the #4 pick in the draft 6 years ago and has done as much as he has is considered a bust?
Araujo is the biggest bust of that class. Iguodala was thought to go to the Raptors, but they choose him like some silly people. Iguodala usually plays his best games against Toronto too, probably because they passed on him. lol. At least he did in his 1st few years in the NBA.
Wagner has a injury that most of us would not ever want to deal with. Also you are comparing Jameer Nelson as a senior to Telfair as a high school player. Telfair is not really that bad now but he kinda lost his hype. Also I think he can do a lot of what Jameer does but he has to get bigger because his size hurts him but he can get to the basket and pass. It is hard to say he is a bust He is a solid player but because of his size and strength he is can not be a starter but he should be a solid bk up.
I have a much easier time calling Livingston a bust than calling Telfair a bust for these reasons.
1. Shaun was #4 pick / Telfair # 13
2. So much more hype about Livingston being the next Magic
Livingston was becoming a very good player before his injury. Now after drifting between teams and the d-league seems to have found a good niche in Washington. He was playing very well at the end of the season. I don't want to call Livingston a bust yet because of his play at the end of the year, which was reminiscent of the days before his injury.
Telfair has bounced around. He had shown some sparks and now whenever he plays I like the way he was playing. He certainly hasn't lived up to the hype, but I am still hoping he will find the apropriate team for his skill set.
first of all livingston was the biggest bust in this draft. he is the highest picked player of the one´s who never did anything in the league. of course araujo and jackson are bad picks but livingston was picked higher... the difference is just that livingston could have become a good player and was held off by injury.
but bust is bust you can´t call a player not a bust just because he is talented but has injury issues. think of greg oden: so far he is a bust because other than showing some potential in the few games he played he didn´t do anything in the leauge!
i´m very sorry for those guy´s but they are still busts to this point...
shaun livingston´s numbers on the wizards are nothing more than good numbers on a bad team (and the wiz were worse than bad) for a few games..
i mean nice that he was able to do it but i´m not impressed until he keeps it up through at least one season with a bit of a better team...

I would say emeka okafor because he was compared to Dwight Howard. He has had a solid NBA career but he went to the bobcats where he was to be the face of the franchise and he let them down which is why they traded him to new Orleans and he isn't working out great their either. Okafor is just solid and when you are drafted second overall and considered maybe better than Dwight Howard and you're only solid then I call that a bust
I believe that Sebastian Telfair is the biggest bust, he went ahead of Jameer Nelson because he had so much hype but now I bet Portland is regreting it because now it bit them in the ass. They missed out on a very good PG in Nelson
