    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why? Kemba or Kyrie, they both are gonna get multiple opportunities in their respective cities

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why? Clippers, verryyyyy talented roster, just havent been able to put it together just yet…

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not? Unfortunately, I think it is…They came very close last year, and that was just their first year together, they’re a strong team, and they’re gonna improve on their flaws, i see them taking it all next year, so im gonna spam Lebron ringless jokes until then…

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year? Just slowly fade into irrelevancy with their older players…

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not? No, they dont strike me as the team that can win back-to-back ‘chips, but they’llk definitely compete

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain. Hmm….John Wall for the East, i think hes gonna step into superstardom fresh into his sophomore year.

Danilo Gallinari for the West, with Smith/Chandler likely not being in Denver next year, hes gonna get a chance to shine…and after KD, the SF crop in the west is pretty thin…but this prediction is bold, i really dont see it happening, but its very possible

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why? = I’ll go with Kemba since the Bobcats need him to pass, score, and defend some of the best PGs night in and night out. I have been thinking about Derrick Williams since they got Rick Adelman on board and I feel like Rick would utilize a line-up of Beasley, D-Willl, and Love perfectly (even though they might not be a great defensive frontcourt)

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why? Sixers! haha that was just some hometown bias there but I really do like them and I think they could make the second round under Collins. I think the real surprise team will be the Kings. I am really looking forward to the development of Cousins and hoping that Evans bounces back from his injury riddled season strong. Add Jimmer and a player like Hickson and you have a fun team to watch with nice a cast of players IMO

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not? It better be. I am not a Heat fan but you can’t even hate on a team who made it within two games of a chip in one year. I think what we’ll see is a more determined LeBron because at the end of the day, this guy gets criticized way more than any player has ever had to deal with. He better win (but if the season is a shortened 50 game season, then I already know all the haters will say "but it was only 50 games so it doesn’t count"

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year? San Antonio is probably going to look to move Parker. He’s a great slasher and finishes in the paint but if opportunity knocks for an amazing PG, I can see them doing that. Kawhi is a good SF for them and Duncan can still hold it down for one year I think but they also need a new PF who they can start building around.

As for the C’s, I think they look for free agents and start rebuilding. I think they can be competitive but maybe not a top 4 team in the East. Rondo will need to play aside another big man who is good at pick and rolls

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not? No. I am happy for Kidd and Dirk but I think the West is going to be tougher (especially if the Lakers make a big move) and the Thunder who are also young and hungry. I think the Mavs need to find a new scorer to compliment Dirk (like at the 2 guard or small forward spot)

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain

East – John Wall. This guy has the tools and I think he will prove some of his doubters next season

West – Tyreke Evans. I think he has a good chance to be a backup to Kobe. He’s just a jumper away from stardom IMO

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why? Kemba Walker because he will have to score…alot!

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why? GSW because there will be a partial lockout and the older teams will have slow starts and GS being young and athletic will run the court and score.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not? No because they will not have a training camp or preseason or the first 30 or so games to continue to gel. They will still try to depend on Lebron and Wade isos for offense.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year? They will both start a rebuilding process but it will be a slow one. Neither team will let their "Franchise" guys go. So Duncan and Pierce will be staying until they retire. Others like Parker & Ginobili will be gone amd Garnett and Allen will be gone. Both teams will have to rebuild with mid first round picks as they will not completely fade overnight.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not? No, this was their perfect storm like Detroit in 04. They will contend and have a strong year but there are other teams that are ready now(OKC I think).

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain… This one is tough. First of all I have used the lockout in most of my answers so there may not be a game this year. But I will try anyway. East- Jordan Crawford- IDK, I am thinking after JJ and DWade there is no other SG that will make it this year. Crawford will but up 22,5 and 4 and Washington will be close to .500. West- Deandre Jordan- This is really because there is no Yao or Shaq or any other C in the west. Hell greg Oden may get voted in if he was injured. But ill go with Deandre who will be a fan favorite with his dunks. If he can get around 10ppg, 11rpg and 2.5 blocks, I dont see why he couldnt make it with Bynum always being hurt as well. Hell both Clippers C’s could make it with Kaman too.

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why? Kemba Walker. He has more college expirience then nearly every other contender for the award and I think his game will fit into the NBA quite well.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why? Clippers. Have you seen there roster? And now that they are more organised they may give some palyoff teams a run for their money.

     3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not? Yes it is. No other team looks ready to contend. The Lakers Celtic and Dallas are too old now (sorry Mavs, but it’s true). I think their only real competion will come from the Bulls. The east may be fighting back against the west now.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year? Fade into non-plyoff teams. Neither will want to trade their star vets so they’ll just keep getting slower and slower.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not? No, I think the clock has just ticked past Dallas’ expirery date. I’m a Dallas fan, don’t get me wrong. It’s just, unless there young players take a BIG step up I can’t see them repeating.

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

East: John Wall. I think he’ll really come into his own this year with all of the better players assembled around him.

West: Eric Gordon: He’s extremely underrated in my eyes but I think he will get recongnised this season and earn a spot behind Kobe (because lets face it, he’s obviously going to start for the west AGAIN).

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

I’ll go with Walker. I just think he’ll be counted on to score and make a lot of plays from day one. Iriving will have a shot, but Davis and Sessions are still on the roster. Williams will have a shot, but the roster is full of players that play his position.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

I’ll go with the Clippers led by Griffin and Gordon. This team has talent, just needs more focus and discipline… Mainly at the defensive end. They played VERY well in spurts last season. I just think they’ll put it together this season and have a shot at getting into the playoffs.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

Yes, I think so. Look how far they made it last year and it was just their first year together. They’ll be even better this season. They just absolutely depress you defensively… It’s like they have six or seven players on the floor. They’ll need to get better offensively to win it though. Can’t just rely on LeBron or Wade isolations.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

KG and Allen will be free-agents at the end of the season. Paul Pierce has two more years on his contract after this season (one guaranteed). I think Boston re-signs both KG and Allen for at least two years, picks up a few more pieces and tries to go for a title for at least another season or two with Doc leading them.

I expect something similar with the Spurs, ESPECIALLY since they just locked up Parker for five more seasons (four guaranteed) and still have Manu and Jefferson locked up for a couple of more seasons as well. I expect Duncan to play at least one more season and for San Antonio to try to surround their core with some solid pieces to help them compete. I think they’ll play similar to last season, except get back to playing Spurs type defense.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

Just depends on what they do via free-agency. Big decisions to make on Chandler, Butler, Stevenson and Barea. All signs lead to them re-signing Chandler. I’ve heard Cuban wants to re-sign Butler. That probably leaves Fernandez replacing Stevenson and Beaubois replacing Barea. Barea was HUGE for them in the Finals, so it remains to be seen how that switch will turn out. Overall, Dallas should be younger/quicker in the open court with Fernandez, Beaubois, Jones and Brewer getting minutes.

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

East: John Wall – IF he’s improved his jumpshot like he claims, then he’ll be really scary.

West: Eric Gordon – IF LAC is in the playoff race and he’s having a season like last year, he could get in.

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

    – I’m going to say Derrick Williams. With Michael Beasley likely to be traded, he’ll be a big time contributer right away.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

    – The Wizards. With Wall in his sophmore year, he may take the step towards being the next elite PG. It will also help if Blatche and McGee mature down low and with Young (maybe) and Crawford on the wing, alot of points will be scored.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

    – No. I think Boston will come back real hungry after the way they lost, and dont forget about Derrick Rose and the Bulls. I also think the Knicks will be able to get lucky and upset the Heat.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

    – Nothing, just get older and to stuborn to get rid of the old guys.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

    – No. No way they get past the Thunder in the west, and hopefully Kobe and my Lakers come back with a vengence!!!

-1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

-Brandon Knight, who will get the chance to start at PG from the get-go.

    – 2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

-Charlotte Bobcats, Walker/Augustin/Henderson make a nice 3 man backcourt rotation and Thomas and Biyombo could be fun to watch who wins the swat battle.

Add Diaw and Magette to that and they could sneak into the play-offs.

    – 3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

-No, You can’t win with Bosh.Plus Norris Cole isn’t the answer at PG(at least not this season).

-4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

-Boston needs to get younger and add picks to that.

-San Antonio needs to find their new franchise guy, deal Jefferson and Parker(might be wise to see what Blair could land you).

    – 5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

-No, Mavs and Kidd in particular are getting older and this year might be too old for Kidd.Plus how will they cope with the target that’s on their backs,

Resigning Chandler is povital if they want a chance, Fernandez takes over Stojakovic’ role.

    – 6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

-East, Greg Monroe from the Pistons could have a monster year with Knight feeding him the rock plus he could post double digits in rebounds.

-West, Raymond Felton from the Blazers, if he plays like last year and grows from that he could be special.

    1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

Derrick Williams.  Biggest talent in the draft IMO, and has an unbelievable motor paired with great athleticism.  I also think Beasley could be/should be shipped out of Minny.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

Wizards.  So much talent and athleticism.  If they build upon their chemistry and start playing D, they could be dangerous.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

No.  I think Miami needs a big time defender/rebounder down low.  Haslem is gettin older and is undersized.  Anthony just doesn’t cut it and Bosh is more of a stretch the D type PF.  His skill is primarily offensively based.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

Boston needs to get a guy with 20+ ppg potential and a young defensive big down low.

San Antonio needs to move Parker/Jefferson, let Duncan retire as a Spur, and look for a nice big to play opposite Blair.  Then improve the guard slots.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

No.  I love J-Kidd, Nowitzki, and Co., but they are getting older.  The PGs are gettin more and more athletic and skilled.  Terry is great but last season he was phenomenal especially in the playoffs.  IDK if I see him being the great again come next year, but he still is a very good scorer.

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

E- John Wall...idk if it is a surprise though

W- Lance Aldridge…should have made it last year probably.  Very skilled big man.

     1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

KEMBA WALKER! why? because he will be the go to guy from the get go.  He is the best player on the team too.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

The Utah Jazz.  Everyone is complaining about the stacked frontcourt Utah has, but I see it as a blessing.  The West is bigman country so it isnt a bad thing, having too many bigs (maybe trade off Millsap for a reliable shooting gaurd). And harris is an all-star when healthy

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?
Yes/No.  I say yes only if they are able to get a reliable defensive center e.g. Samuel Dalembert, Greg Oden or Tyson Chandler.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

I believe Boston will basically stay the same, but don’t be surprised if one of the big three is traded *for a draft pick maybe resulting in Austin"RIVERS"*.  San Antonio in the other hand will be ripped apart, that mean next offseason no more Duncan, Jefferson and Parker.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

Did the Celtics repeat in 2008?  You can ask Paul Pierce and company age isn’t but a number, it takes a toll.  Dallas will be out before the conference finals.

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

East: I think we can unanimously say that John Wall, if healthy, is an all star.  The Wizards might not be the surprise team next year but they will be the most exciting team to watch, with Wall dishing the rock to Mcgee, Crawford, Young, Booker, Singlton and Vesley.
West:  Jimmer!!!  No no i was just joking, Eric Gordan was the other reason everyone was watching Clipper games last year and i believe he will be the consistant 25-30 point threat for them next year.

     1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

If Beasley is traded I go with Derrick Williams, if not Kemba Walker, he will have a lot of responsibility….also dark horse for me is Tristan Thompson, someone has to do something in the frontcourt for Cleveland and I feel he may have his chance.

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

In the West the Clippers, I feel that young talent had a year to mesh, and if they start defending they can do what Memphis did this past year, in the East I’ll go with the Wizards, with the addition of Vesley and Singleton I feel it helps them athletically on the wing and SIngleton will help give them an Identity….oh btw they have John Wall.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

Sadly I believe it is, unless Chicago adds a shooting guard who is a threat I do not see them beating them this year, with the C’s a year older and no one else looking like a legitimate contender IMO they have a great chance to do it.

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

I believe Boston needs to rebuild and start adding some youth to their roster, San Antonio has youth that may help keep them relevant a couple years longer than the C’s but both will compete but not contend IMO.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

I do not see Dallas repeating, their roster just does not seem to have repeat in them, some teams you just know can repeat and I do not believe Dallas is one of those teams.

Forgot this question, and it wouldnt let me edit it in

    6) Name two surprise All-Stars, one for the East and one for the West and explain…

In the West I’m going to go with Andrew Bynum, with Yao retired and no other big men being considered a center, if healthy I feel he can get in. In the East I’m not going to go with John Wall because it would not surprise me to see him make it, but just because were friends I’m going to go with Paul George lol.

     1) Who will win rookie of the year? Why?

My first guess would be Kemba because hell come in and get to play right away…if Sota is smart tho it should be Derrick Williams…it all depends who gets the PT

    2) Who is your surprise team to watch this year? Why?

I would say watch out for the Bucks…with the lower half of the East so terrible, they really upgraded with Stephen Jackson, and Bogut should be healthy.

    3) Is this Miami’s year? Why or why not?

Probably…in their first year they went to the championship…

    4) What will Boston and San Antonio do next offseason if neither win a ring this year?

Boston needs to slowly start building around Rondo…hopefully resign Jeff Green

San Antonio needs to move try to trim the fat with some of their contracts (Jefferson and Parker), let Duncan retire and build around the nice young players they have.

    5) Will Dallas repeat? Why or why not?

No. I think everyone agrees this was a beautiful one-time-thing…although they will be competitive
