stepback3ParticipantWhich of the two wing combos are better and why?
James Harden/Chandler Parsons
Or
Lance Stephenson/Paul George

stepback3ParticipantMy choice is Lance and Paul by a slim margin due to their defence. I would have James and Chandler as the better scoring duo but that isn’t enough to put them in head.

B-ball fanParticipantI would easily take Harden/Parsons. Parsons is better than Stephenson, who has not yet shown the consistency or all-around game of Parsons, who is extremely versatile. And George and Harden is tougher, but Harden’s better offense overcomes George’s better defense in my mind.

Velvet HoopParticipantbecause they aren’t the only wing players on those teams that play. I mean Houston plays a lot of Lin and Beverley together with Harden or Parsons. Add in Garcia and Caspi and Houston has a deep and talented perimeter. Indiana counters with George Hill, Lance Stephenson Paul George, CJ Watson and Orlando Johnson. It is a no brainer that you go with Houston. Much deeper, more experienced and better size off the bench.

sanchopanzaPaul George and Lance Stephenson no doubt. Good luck trying to stop LeBron with James Harden and Chandler Parsons. Stephenson and George both appear to have stepped up their game this year as well, with George hitting 7 threes through two games and averaging 28.

Velvet HoopParticipantthey will play the Heat twice this season and if they play them after that if will be in the NBA Finals. I’m pretty sure they will be happy with getting to the Finals in Dwight’s first season there. Indiana will have to play Miami 4 times in the regular season and then more than likely in a tough series just to get to the Eastern Conference Finals. So it is really more about whether George and Stephenson can stop LBJ and Wade, than Harden and Parsons.
Nice job using two games for a basis on Stephenson and George stepping up their games. By that logic, I’m guessing you think that the Sixers will win the East and MCW will be MVP?

sanchopanzaIf you think Paul George and Lance Stephenson have not improved from last season, you are an idiot.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe season just started, so the sample size is too small to make a decision. IF we’re basing this on last season, then it’s James Harden and Chandler Parsons.
Let’s re-visit this topic in a few more months. I think the answer may be different because I think Paul George is going to close the gap on Harden offensively, while still remaining an elite level defender. I also think Lance Stephenson is about to have a breakout season.
