JunkYardDogParticipantI’d bet on cody zeller. He has all the tools, has some room to improve and is already performing well as a freshman.
Meyers leonard could become a good center but he’ll take more time to develop and perform than C. zeller ( if he ends in the right team and play enough time).
Melo could be a nice defensive center if he keeps on improving his body and work ethic. Finally the other zeller should become a back up center and give some good/serious minutes à la nick collison. Or he will become the next jason smith/bj mullens in a bad team.

sheltwon3ParticipantI have to go with Fab Melo because his game may be fitted more for the NBA and he should have big men coaches work with him. The way he move sometimes reminds me of a young Andrew Bynum and I see where Bynum is now. I don’t know if the other guys have that potential as a pro. Melo already has legit NBA size and athleticism for a big man. The Zellers are more skilled but they are kind of small looking. Most of the Center who were their size wound up backups.

tbp82ParticipantI have to go with Cody Zeller on that list. I see him being a solid starting Center in the league for years to come. He has the skills to be very good especially if he stays another year in college. I think that is a great list of potetential role players in the NBA and Cody Zeller seems to be very coachable along with the aformentioned skillset.

scbe2223ParticipantCall it a gut feeling, but I really don’t think Cody Zeller will be that good in the league. I think he could be an outstanding college player if he stuck around(he won’t), but I vote a role player in the league. I actually think Leonard will be the best of that group. Eventual starter on a pretty decent team.

AndyBeng2ParticipantIn my opinion, it has to be Cody Zeller. He is very skilled at this young age and he still has room to grow. With the right coaching and teammates he could be special in the league.
I see Tyler Zeller being a starting center somewhere, he reminds me of Jeff Foster with more hustle.
Meyers Leonard has a lot of potential, but he is raw and could take time to develop, but I could see him being a nice big off the bench for a good team.
Fab Melo is a great defensive presence and I could see him having a career similar to Brendan Haywood if he can keep his weight down.
btw, Cody Zeller and Meyers Leonard match up tonite at 8et on the Big Ten Network, it will be a fun one to watch, GO HOOSIERS!

Why should he be ont the list? This was my list.. Also, this was a list of Cs.. Davis is a PF.. Also, I didn’t want Drummond on the list because he would be the clear favorite.. It is close between these guys.. Feel free to make your own post with the people you want on it..

mikeyvthedonParticipantAlways love when someone makes a comparison list and than gets told they should put another name on. I think that Cody Zeller is taking the early lead. Meyers Leonard, Tyler Zeller and Fab Melo also look like guys who might contribute as legit big men, but I think the younger Zeller appears to be ahead of those players in his development. Marshall, Withey and Sacre seem like fringe NBA types to me. They are all big bodies which could get them drafted, but I think that the other 4 names are highly probable first round picks.
I would rank them like this in what I have seen thus far:
1. Cody Zeller
2. Meyers Leonard
3. Tyler Zeller
4. Fab Melo
5. Robert Sacre
6. Zeke Marshall
7. Jeff Withey
One thing I will say is, would not be surprised if Cody was more of a 4 than a 5 in the NBA. The other players all translate to likely centers. Still think that Cody Zeller looks to be the best prospect out of all of them. Not just because he is a freshman, but because he is a freshman playing much better than any of the other players played as a freshman. Fab Melo certainly has the most girth and is developing pretty well, but I think the three guys I have ahead of him are all more fundamentally sound basketball players. This should benefit them at the next level.

Maniac MaciejParticipantWhoever wins the battle between Meyers and Cody tonight.
Those two are head and shoulders above the others, with the possible exception of Melo, who still seems pretty one-dimensional at this point.

Chilbert arenasParticipantNone have that big of upside in my opinion. I don’t see any of them getting to an all-star game. I could be wrong, and the lack of big men in the league could help. I like Cody, Leonard, and Sacre but not totally sold on any of them.
