Who do you think projects to be the better defender between these two?

    Hi its Ben

Oladipo considering that’s his most NBA-ready attribute. But I could see Smart being able to lock down 1’s and 2’s although ‘Dipo could lock down 1’s, 2’s, and 3’s at the NBA level.

Big 3’s could give Dipo trouble.. He reminds me of Avery Bradley defensively

It’s hard to say, but I would probably go with Smart. Not only does he lock up people man to man, but he also causes havoc on passing lanes with steals, not that Oladipo doesn’t do the same but Smart seems to have better instinct for just a mere freshman.

I wouldn’t mind if my pistons would get smart in the draft… considering hes only 19 and has a lot of room to grow… I barely watched him this yr but ive heard hes a workhorse and that’s what I love to hear

Not sure if the Pistons should draft another combo guard lol, they have Stuckey and Knight already.. If they want a PG they should draft Burke I believe.. Anyway I really hope Orlando picks Smart.. Smart – Afflalo – Harris – Harkless – Vucevic.. Sounds good for the future right?

Not sure who the pistons will take. Otto porter looks the obvious choice as there is still no certainty if Knight is a PG or SG and Centre and OF is well sorted….

Can’t go wrong with either defensively. Both play with great effort, have good length, balance, strength and have similar size as well. Both can be disruptive in the passing lanes. I’d say that Oladipo is the better athlete with better quickness so I’d give him the slight edge.
