TheLastWordParticipantWhich Jazz big man will have the better career? Derrick Favors or Enes Kanter? We know Favors was mildly impressive as a rookie, but not mind blowing. Kanter we know dominated at every level but has not played in over a year. So yes its a tough decision to make, but pretend someone is pointing a gun at you and make the call…

ilike.panochasParticipant2 completely different bigman, Favors was drafted high due to his defensive potential, Kantar was selected high because of his offensive skills. Favors is so raw and so far away from being what he could potentially become, that you wonder if he will ever get there. Kantar seems to be more advance offensively, I would choose Kantar due to polish. But combine them two, and they complement each other very well.

AnthonyPEPZParticipantTo be honest it depends on what Favors does with his career, whether he wants to fufil his potential or not because if he does he is the better player.Kanter is going to be a Solid pro though.

bksmithParticipantI believe that they will both have note worthy careers. They both have the potential to be mind blowingly good but they are both young. I whole point to keeping the two of them is that they are different players.
Kanter is very offensive minded. He has some great ability to get the ball in the hoops. He is not known to be athletic and yet he can still be effective.
Favors on the other has is incredibly gifted athletically. He has great length and he can get up whe he needs to. He is limited offensively but he did show flashes of a mid range jump shot athough it was no where near consistant.
They are different players and that is why this could work out so well. Favors will be great defensively and Kanter will draw the attention offensively. If they both work hard and can find some chemistry this could be a scary tandem.

OhCanada-ParticipantUtah has two absolute studs downlow for the future, and they have two sturdy wings in Burks and Hayward. They have done a very good job, and I can honestly say I doubt the team was going anywhere led by Williams anyways. The organization made the right move, again… But this also makes me think that Sloan really stepped down, because why would they tell him to leave. Makes no sense.
Kanters offensive game will allow Favors to focus on being a beast…maybe an all defensive player team is in his sights.

xavier328ParticipantKanter can be a 20-8 to 10 Reb player.
Favors will never be a 20-10 guy…but on the other end of the court(defense) his impact will be 20x more than Kanter.
its what you prefer.
Example Its like Noah Vs Brook lopez

iguapops420Participant^^^Brook Lopez is nowhere near the rebounder of Enes, and I honestly don’t see Favors ever reaching his full potential. Doesn’t have a consistent enough motor and seems far too raw. Though 15-9-2 aint bad either.

surveParticipantfrom the season that Favors had, given his age, I really like him to develop and progress each season….Favors has potential to be a really good two-way player.
You know whats really funny? We have seen comparisons of Kanter to Horford. Well, if we run with that, I can see parallels between Horford/Smith and Kanter/Favors. Kanter/Horford are those double double type guys where Smith/Favors are not necessarily that type but can impact the game is so many different ways with athleticism. They can be double double guys but what I mean is, they are more than scoring and rebounding.
I think Smith is the best player on the Hawks team and constantly gets overshadowed by Johnson and Horford. I think Smith is the All-Star and not Horford, but its hard for a consistant scorer rebounder guy not to get selected. Smith can score, block, steal, rebound, etc…Favors is the same type of player. Even though we may not have seen much of it yet, at GT Favors could really get out on the perimeter and get after the ball. He is a special player defensively I think because he seems to have the right attitude and work ethic and doesnt mind being outside of the spotlight.
