Best matchup to beat the Heat.

Obviously there is no certainty that the Heat will make the finals. But they are the clear favorite. So saying that who do you feel would give the Heat the biggest challenge if they were to meet up.

Personally for me I see the Grizz as the best threat. If there bigs can play the way that they are currently playing they will pose some real matchup problems. Also defensively i also feel they match up aswell as anyone. Allen on Wade, Prince on LBJ, Conley on Chalmers, ZBO on Haslem and Gasol on Bosh. I think it would be a war.

Thoughts?

Knicks have the best chance.

Knicks have the best chance. Tyson chandler plays lebron well forcing him not to drive the lane as much. Melo isn't scared of anyone and Jason Kidd is clutch in big moments who can calm a team down. I look at the mavs when they beat the heat with jkidd dirk Jason terry and chandler. Just trade dirk for melo and terry for jr swish. Also I'm thinking shumpert can check dwade.

Spurs or Grizzlies. Both have

Spurs or Grizzlies.

Both have an elite centers, Duncan and Gasol, that can expose Miami, both have great PG's, Parker and Conley, that can set up the offense, score, and play good defense. Memphis has a clutch scorer in Randolph inside, the Spurs have Ginobilli off the bench who hits three's and attacks the basket. Spurs have Leonard who could maybe matchup and give LeBron some struggles. Memphis has Tony Allen who can match-up with D-Wade and Prince is a veteran who plays good team defense.

If Chicago has Rose, they could also do it, but Rose isn't feeling it, I guess.

Can't know team in the nba

Can't know team in the nba beat the heat in a series and I'm not a heat fan! Who is going to stop Lbj from scoring, passing, and rebounding! Lbj is great in every aspect of the game!

No way

spurs didn't win them without LBJ and D-Wade,Grizzlies not cause of Lbj is to strong for Prince and to quick for Z-bo.But any way both are not going to make it to the finals so.

yes probbably it is over for the C's but look at the games heat and the C's the only team standing to them so I would say at the moment no team can stop the heat

Giving Lebron struggles

There is exactly 0 defenders in the entire league who do anything to stop Lebron but I'd give Memphis the best shot because Miami's one weakness is size and rebounding which is Memphis' strengths. Spurs have a punchers chance too but both of them need Miami to have some injuries for them really to have a chance.

Celtics don't even have

Celtics don't even have Rondo......Spurs nearly beat Miami when the heat played all their players and San Antonio sat Duncan, Parker and Manu.

Lebrons to strong for anyone

Lebrons to strong for anyone that is going to guard him so if thats the cause theres noone who can beat them. But its who has the best chance, Prince will guard him just aswell as most would.

Spurs

True and how did they do won without Rondo then lost with two without Garnett and the last they rested both KG and the Truth and didn't lost by many. But telling only that they are the only team but also too old and at the moment no team can stop the heat

The Grizzlis play

The Grizzlis play unbelievable team defense, while Prince won't be able to stop LBJ, the Grizz may slow him down.

Also I'm pretty sure Haslem and Bosh can't stop Gasol and Z-Bo.

The Grizzlies are just so tough and gritty they just might frustrate the Heat and win. I'm not saying they will, the Heat are still the favorites.

I do agree the Grizzlies can

I do agree the Grizzlies can tough the Heat out in the finals and they got the guys that MIGHT be able to slow down Wade/Lebron.

I want to see what teams

I want to see what teams survive the West playoffs to make a prediction for this one.But i ll make one anyway

The Grizzlies are the top ones for me.Don't forget Gasol won the DPOY and with Randolph they re going to be a tough matchup for the Heat frontline.Conley has had a solid playoff series against Chris Paul and the Clippers too and that's going to be helpful

I don't know about the Spurs. They can't match up athletically with the Heat.Pop is a genius though and i would expect them to make it as hard as possible

OKC without Westbrook i just can't see it happening. They couldn't do it last year with KD,Westbrook Harden and Ibaka and i can't see them doing it this year with 2 of the 4 forementioned missing.

I believe in Denver too.If they make it to the finals that is.They have some solid frontcourt guys too and they play really good defence.Farried and Mcgee defend the post well while Lawson and Iguodala are ballhawks.Iguodala against Wade and Brewer on Allen will be the key matchups if this comes to fruition. If Gallinari wasn't injured they would be a really tough team in the West but now the Warriors have a clear advantage.I can still see them advancing though

I still believe a healthy Bulls squad would be able to beat the Heat. And by that i mean a Bulls squad with a healthy Derrick Rose. They have been playing great against a pretty solid Brooklyn team without him.But i guess this will come into discussion next year when Derrick is hopefully back and healthy again

Not Memphis

Although I think Memphis is a good team, I think their only advantage would be going to ZBO... But that won't be enough. I dont think they have enough shooters or athleticism to beat the Heat. YOu have to score a lot of poins to beat them. I dont think Prince can guard Lebron nor slow him down. He's long but is not quick or strong enough. And there's nobody behind him to contest shots at the rim. Memphis are at there best with ZBO and Gasol on the floor. I think the Heat would simplay go with Bosh at Center and spread them out. Would Memphis be able to keep up with the Heat? I can't see it. i cant see ZBO or Gasol guarding anyone outside of the paint. Out of all the teams left, I think Memphis would have the most problems keeping up with the pace of Miami.

I think Memphis has the best

I think Memphis has the best chance because they are the one team that looks like it could legitimately take Miami out of its element. Offensive oriented teams like the Thunder or Spurs are going to be in trouble because the Heat can win at their own game. The Grizzlies have the size and ability to execute in the half court to force the Heat to make serious adjustments.

Also, nobody on the Heat can really defend Gasol and Z-Bo. If the Heat's jumpshots weren't falling, they'd be in trouble because the Grizzlies would be able to score pretty efficiently if the Heat stayed small.

Anyways, it would be an extremely entertaining matchup, probably filled with huge game to game swings as each team made adjustments.

Spurs

Spurs if healthy have the best chance of beating them IF healthy. I thought they also had the best chance last year. Spurs have the passing and shooting to counteract some of what Miami does on defense, as well as legitimate post scoring. I don't see any of the teams left checking Lebron, but Lebron's game also isn't to go out and score 40 a game. I think Spurs have the personnel to slow down and maybe take out some of the other guys.

The only other team that I think can beat them would be Memphis. My biggest fear would be them keeping up in scoring, but they also have the ability to feed the post non-stop. Maybe if you slow the game down enough, don't make turnovers and get enough misses you beat them.

I agree

I agree with those who mentioned the Grizzlies and Spurs. I would run at Lebron one on one defensively and do everything in your power to not let anyone else beat you. Lebron is tough but I would rather see Lebron get 54pts instead of 30pts and 11ast because that means Allen , Bosh , Lewis , Miller , and or Chalmers are getting good open looks. Lebrons assist number being high is more indicative to the Heat winning than how many points he scores.

The Grizzlies would bully the

The Grizzlies would bully the Heat inside, but I think to beat the Heat you gotta be able to shoot it and I just don't think the Griz have good enough outside shooters. I think the Spurs have the best chance to beat them. NOBODY is a good defensive matchup on LeBron, but Kawhi is one of the best wing defenders in the league with good size (still gives up an inch and 25lbs to LeBron) and would at least be about as good of a matchup as you could ask for with Bron. Regardless, LeBron will still do what he does and no ones gonna stop that. That aside, Parker would have his way with Chalmers and Timmy would outplay Bosh. The Spurs play the best team basketball in the league and while I don't see anyone beating the Heat, I think if anyone could do it it would be the Spurs.

The 1996 Bulls. Lol. Idk if anyone is truly a good matchup. I just want to see the Heat pushed in a couple of series and watch good basketball. I think the Clippers could be a good matchup. Just have to see how the west shakes out first.

Whoever comes out of the West

Whoever comes out of the West has the best shot, at this point I have no idea who comes out of this (Spurs are definitely the favorite), but Whoever is the best of the West has definitely proven themselves getting through the high amount of talent in the West. Remember the 2nd team in the east would have placed 6th in the west. The Knicks just don't seem good enough to me, but I haven't watched them play much, They could possibly prove me wrong. But it's hard to find weaknesses in a team that is what 41-2 in their last 43 now?

IF THEY ARE ON THEIR GAME ALL

IF THEY ARE ON THEIR GAME ALL GAME, EVERY GAME...

The Indiana Pacers.

First of all, this is the best defense in the league in nearly every category except scoring defense (Grizzlies play at a lower tempo), so they would certainly be able to limit Lebron and Co. more than most. Paul George could go toe-to-toe with Lebron and perform very well if he is on his game. West is tougher, savvier, and more efficient than Chris Bosh, though not wuite as talented in these stages of their careers. Roy Hibbert will definitely be the best Center on the floor when he is on his game (and Bosh is playing the 4). He can do a lot as far as keeping Wade and Lebron out of the lane. Stephenson is really coming along and has the explosiveness and toughness to do well against Wade. And George HIll is a sound point guard who brings it all together and can do some serious damage with Chalmers guarding him. Neither bench is worth writing home about, but if Gerald Green can channel the GOOD Gerald Green that we've seen flashes of recently, that's a huge asset. Augustin can play well, too, but he's been in a funk much of the season. Mahinimi is acutally developing into a solid player. Sam Young is a savvy vet. And Orlando Johnson is really coming along. I like the Pacer's chances to steal a couple. But honestly, they are too inconsistent and no one has much of a chance to beat the Heat in a best-of-7 except mayyyybe the Knicks, in my opinion. But when the Pacers are on it, watch out.

Really? 2 people throwing the

Really? 2 people throwing the CELTICS out there? No Rondo, they are old, they have no size to exploit the Heat's lack of it, struggle to hit EIGHTY points on a nightly basis...c'mon.
